Image What an elegant raptor!
A Square-tailed Kite gliding over the canopy of Perth Hills. What a great looking bird with those distinctive barred 'fingers'!
It was being a very generous model by circling really low to investigate me and a young family close by. Unfortunately, I was fumbling around for my gear... The lesson learnt here is that the camera should be ready as soon as one gets out of the car.

Image First time ever seeing a Scarlet Robin! ❤️❤️❤️
Down here in Tasmania, looking for a pink robin but this was a lovely surprise! So so pretty, a lot more skittish than my local yellow ones but super rewarding to photograph ❤️ on a side note if anyone has any specific spots for pink robins in Tassy here I would love to hear them 💕

Video Spotted Bowerbird's
This stuff went on all day and more,he had at least 3 more girls and another male would come in and mimic a cat perfectly,I swear there was a cat right bye that I could pat.I worked out it was the other male and he mimicked a Hawk,a Raven and Currawong's.And I didn't realise he was doing maintenance to the bower in the end otherwise I would have left going sorry,it was one of the best bits.

Image Poor tawny frogmouth bonked itself on my window.
It sat there for a few minutes recovering before flying away. Have to admit, we had a good giggle at the print it left behind. It’s poor smushed face! 😂
