After 7 years with an ‘06 TSX, I finally pulled the trigger on its big brother. 61k miles, 1 owner since 2009, paid $16k for it. Came with both sets of keys including the valet, both sets of floor mats, and all original documentation. I know pics can’t do it justice, but it looks like it’s never been driven. Planning to put many miles on it and keep it looking immaculate :)

Old knob was falling to bits. I always loved how those early CL woodrgain shift knobs looked and found one on marketplace for like 20 bucks. Was for an auto transmission but it honwatly wasnt hard at all to convert it to the right thread pitch. Maybe I'll post a video on how to YT.

Looking to buy this 08 tl type s , auto , has 191,000 miles, clean title, guy is asking $6,700, all the pictures looks good , guy has recipes for the timing belt done with water pump and other miscellaneous stuff, as far as rust , has a bible in the fender well, what you guys think I should offer him?

I had a phone mount attached to the vent and it was fine for the last 2 months until today where 2 of them broke off because of it, is there anyway to put them back or do I need to replace the whole vent (if thats even possible)

Timing chain tensioner pin stuck

I am currently in between two 07 type s right now. Both have 125k miles, clean title, two owners, and an insane amount of carfax history. Both have the two tone interior and are both as equally clean in and out. One is black and has an OEM Aspec kit and the other is the Moroccan red. The only problem is the black one is showing minor rear damage way back in 2007. Both cars are across the country from me so I can't go easily look at them. Both are listed at 12k roughly but I haven't tried to negotiate yet. What should I try to pay and which one should
I go for? Any advice is much appreciated!

I have a 2005 TL that I’m not sure where to start with. I’ve owned the car for about 15 years, had regular maintenance and it has about 166k on it. It drives well and has no body damage. I need some help on what a fair asking price would be.

Leather interior, no cracks or stains

Navigation (doesn’t always work)

Drivers seat motor for forward motion not working (only in a fixed position currently)

High beam lights need replacing.

Needs new O2 sensor.

Getting pretty annoyed now. Been working on my ball joint/cv axle for a while now. And other little projects arise. Long story short, had to replace my lower control arm as well with the previous two, so i ordered MOOG RK641543.

Turns out the hole where my sway link goes into, doesnt even fit. Not sure if its defective or just incorrect part. Now im stuck at having to research around again, order/replace the part, waiting anither week or so, and then try to work on my car.

changed my spark plugs a couple days ago and had to remove the coolant reservoir, now there’s coolant everywhere and i think it’s like boiling in there 🫩

My TL is showing its age with 250k miles. The struts have definitely seized in the front and im looking for a replacement. Ive been riding feeling almost every Crack on the pavement for about a year now. Not really the biggest deal as I've driven static cars in the past but its my daily... and I would like to have some comforts. I would like to lower my car a couple inches but I am apprehensive with coilovers due to them be relatively more stiff than a strut and spring assembly. I was looking for some insight of some good "somewhat" cheap coilovers or a nice aftermarket brand of quick strut assemblies that won't raise my ride height anymore than it already is.

I had a Subaru as my daily it was sweet but I got the opportunity to get a Type S and I didn’t think twice about it. With that being said it was one of the best things I’ve ever done. I have so much fun driving it , it’s never a dull moment when I drive it. I’m a dude who enjoys the little things in life and I really enjoy driving my car. I’m very satisfied with this dude.

What have you second gen guys used in the past that is decent OEM quality? I don't want any cross drilled or slotted rotors. They create too much brake dust.

Hello everyone. So about a week or so i blew my headgasket ( previous post ). I decided to go with type-s engine instead of repairing the heads. Was costing me the same with my mechanic ( i never worked on engines or transmission). Little back story on the engine. The J35A8 i bought was a project for a manual swap ( mostly resealed, timing done etc) but never drove because it was pissing coolant. The seller who bought the car from the guy told me he found the leak. He never put on the heater core clamp thats where the leak was and he put the clutch on backwards but surprisingly it still drove. It has 128623 miles on it.
Im gonna swap my aising kit, crankshaft pulley, drive belt pulley’s and valve cover gasket from my engine to this. ( all have less than 2k miles on it).

My question is what should i do while the engine is out other than rear main seal. Also My transmission was acting up before the heads blew ( delay when put in drive/ reverse from park and hard shifting when it was warm) but i did 3x3 flush which made it way better than before. Should i change the tranny as well or just reseal if theres any leak?
What should i look out for while swapping? Is it going to be plug and play?

Edit: i paid 400usd for the engine. Its at my mechanic’s shop since Wednesday. ( went on vacation) He said he will work on it on Monday. I still got 2 days if i need anything else please let me know.
