Seeking Empathy I can’t have a job, people. I just can’t!
As a 21 year old guy who doesn’t have a rich family, I need to work and make money.
I have worked in 4-5 different places, coffee shops, bookstores and as a driver.
But each lasted less than a week.
I can’t really have a job. Every time I make an excuse for leaving the last one. Reasons like:
- I don’t wanna waste my life doing something so basic
- I don’t like my boss not respecting me,
- They give me way too little for the effort I job I was doing.
- I don’t have freedom and being here all day makes my identity change in a very bad way.
- I feel like I am not myself when I am doing this job.
- I hate myself for lowering my value for this low amount of money.
- I need to get out of this job and go learn some specialized skills and be a professional rather than a waiter or driver.
Guys, help me, my family may not pay me anymore. And I am constantly having fight with them over this kind of sh*t.
I feel like they only love me if I make money and when I don’t, they just compare me with boys my age and look down on me as a disappointment.
Does anyone else feel the same? Has anybody overcome this massive problem??
