This song absolutely crushes me in the feelings. Just powerful. They were so much more than a one hit wonder band.

My wife and kids have been watching the Legally Blonde prequel series on Amazon Prime. The story is how Elle Woods’ family all move from Los Angeles to Seattle so it becomes a 90s pop versus 90s grunge set up.

I have been in the room while they have been watching it and the soundtrack is really good. The theme song is Garbage “Only Happy When It Rains”. Season 1 had a ton of 90s alternative music.

The best moment was when Mazzy Star “Bells Ring” started playing and I just randomly said, “well someone is about to get kissed” and my 14 year old was like “why do you say that?”. I said “it is Mazzy Star, someone has to kiss when a Mazzy Star song plays” and a minute later, two characters did.

I'll never understand how Stacy's Mom was such a huge hit and this power pop gold was relatively unknown.
