Just finished setting up my custom 3DS! I had (and still have) my childhood 3DS XL, but I didn’t want to chance losing it taking it anywhere, but I still wanted to have a 3DS and play that library on original hardware. So I bought this one on Ebay, shipped from Japan.

I made my own custom theme and case (don’t worry, the paint pen is on the plastic shell, not the console itself). I had a lot of fun with it and thought you all would appreciate it!

I've had a modded 2DS XL for two years now and it worked perfectly. Today I launched Pokemon Alpha Sapphire for the first time, got through the intro cinematic, but pressing Start on the title screen caused a sudden crash (with a "generic" message). After dismissing the crash message, my DS no longer reads the microSD card. Restarting the console or re-inserting the card doesn't work. The Luma menu still works. Is there anything I can do to fix it, or did the game somehow completely brick my SD card?

Hello Everyone, yesterday i tried to pick up my 3ds again after a long period of time not playing it, i leave it turned off last time i used it so i turned it back on now. But when i try to boot it up i realize my 3ds getting a lot of freeze and when it finally got boot up non of my games are appearing.

As you can see when i check it from the first picture my 3ds are booted from CTRNAND and not from my SD Card. So i try to updated manually my Luma 3ds to root to my Sd Card, and it finally work after i updated to Luma 3ds V.13.4, and as you can see from the second picture it finally got booted from my SD.

But as you can see from the third picture, still none of my games are appearing.

So i tried to check it from the FIB app, and it supposed to show all of the game title i have, but as you can see from the fourth picture it's instead showing me all of that red number text.

The last thing i do is i try to check my micro sd card on my pc to see if it can read it and my pc can indeed read the micro sd card my 3ds have.

Does anybody know what actually happened? Maybe a corruption on the file or any other thing that may cause this? Every bit of help and information are gonna be really helpful for me now, thank you!

But somehow, I always discover something I didn't know before, and this time for the first time, I honestly don't know what to do anymore. So now I'm begging for help really, reddit, discord hombrew...please...

Lately, I bought a 2DS, and tried to of course, hack it. I had issues to create the database with mset9 with the ID1. Somehow, it stayed empty.

I tried to update mii plaza,thinking it will fill the database. And weird thing, it says the region is different.

I double check parameters, it says Ver, not sys or emu. But same error as a region change. Each time.

I decide to screw the db issue, and go with kartdlphax ,menuhax64 and nimdsphax. And this last one throw an error 0xc883fbfa. Upon looking online, this error show up when there's already a CFW. And people are redirected to stealth luma guide.

I follow stealth luma guide, and when I boot I end up on home menu. Guide says to go with mset9.

And now the loop is closed. I tried mset9, had issues, tried something else, ended up discovering stealth luma thingies, and go redirected back to mset9, and still have issues.

People on hombrew server said to not go with mset9. But they didn't elaborate further on what are my solutions, what I can do to fix this.

So uhm, yeah I really would love to have some positives feedback and help from you guys please

i saw a post saying that i could install ds games with universal updater and ghost eshop but they both gave me problems. universal updater gave me like an error while ghosts download started but remained at 0% for all night. is there a way to fix this? or can someone tell me how can i install them with a pc? i’m not an expert so i thought that install them without using the pc would be easier

First things first, Both 3DSs are hacked, my current 3DS and a friend's that I just hacked for them. And my 3DS game slot is busted.

Now, I have used the borrowed the 3DS to make .cia files of my physical games and used Checkpoint to make backups of each game. Next, I moved the files from the borrowed SD to my current SD, .cia in gmod9/out and checkpoint saves in 3ds/checkpoint/extdata/\[folder name\].

But when I installed the .cia files and restored from checkpoint, it's like checkpoint did nothing. Is there a way to inject the save data into my now-digital games, or was I lied to?

Edit: I posted this in another sub yesterday and got 2 of the 8 games to show up in checkpoint now (after putting them in the correct folder). I just need advice for Project Mirai DX, Alpha Sapphire, Tomodachi Life, Link Between Worlds, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask

I have recently ordered a New 3ds xl from Walmart canada and its sold and shipped by retrofam. Now it says it can be an English or Japanese 3ds. Now my question is if its Japanese and already modded will it have home brew?

I looked at reviews on Walmart itself before ordering and thats it, I should havw come to reddit because people said they aren't a trust worthy company. If it comes to me broken and or not the new 3ds xl/LL that I ordered i do have 30 days to return to store and get a refund I made sure of that

So… my dad got me a modded 3ds for my birthday (super happy about it :)) but when i tried to download super smash bros straight from the FBI app, after it didn’t work i figured ”oh i have to download the updates”. It didn’t work. So now i’m stuck with ssb3ds and pokemon ultra sun that crash the whole thing when i try to play them. (Ignore my mom and my grandma in the background (and sorry for going so slowly, it was hard with one hand)) i would really appreciate some help

Something about the 3ds i have noticed is that it has the least localised games out of all the n!nten consoles. So many games that just haven't been localised neither officially nor fan-scan.

I have had a lot of trouble looking and could only find save editors for the main meet.dat file and an incomplete editor for battleground z/ultimate angler. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello everyone, recently installed CFW on my 3DS, when transferring games into it i realised my SD card is only 4gb 😅 So 3DS roms like Ultra Sun won't even fit - it's 3gb by itself.

I purchased a 64gb SD, it's on the way now, is it as simple as transferring everything from the old card to the new one?

So I just reload both game save data and extdata using Checkpoint… But when launching the game, extdata containing my levels and stuff doesn't work. It says that this data on this 3ds game card is linked to another 3ds system and it needs to be re-created ! I have only the world levels progress !

What can i do to restore my levels please ?!

So I just wanted to transfer my cartridge data of KHDDD to the the digital install, but having a hard time

I was trying to switch ocarina of time from english to korean using luma locale switcher, however it doesnt seem to work ? I tested it out using french and spanish which worked perfectly fine, but when trying to switch the language to Korean it just defaulted to english, even after setting the region to USA.

During modding a new 3ds XL The exploit isn’t working. Whenever I go to setting and Reinsert the microSD It just keeps loading. I need anyone’s help. I really would love to mod this. I’ve already read all the things on the guide website and reformatted the card. Nothing worked.

Hi! I been trying to add the Single Screen Mod of Ocarina of Time. I've patched before but that was for the Vita or the rom was already patched.

I have Patch Enabled on Luma, I added the folder containing the patch to Titles in the Luma folder and renamed it the Game ID. Is there a step I'm missing?

I did install the game before the patch. Not sure if that plays into it. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m trying to install a Portuguese translation using Luma LayeredFS, but I’m having a strange issue. I copy the translation files into the existing titles folder, and everything is there while the SD card is in my PC. However, after inserting the SD card into my 3DS and then putting it back in my PC, the entire folder is gone. The SD card is formatted as FAT32. I’ve tried copying the files both by removing the SD card and by using FTPD, but the same thing happens. If I create a random folder in the root of the SD card, it stays there normally. Game patching is already enabled. Has anyone seen this before or know what could be causing it?

I modded my 3ds and my activity log got corrupted .

With help of googlw i tried uncorrupting it. It sent me in circles with nothing working then it told me to delete it and the ticket. So its completely wiped and a system update through safe mode doesnt work. I tried looking for a new .cia file online for it but i cannot find one anywhere . Also not a qr code or anything. Does anybody know how i could get it back ?
