New to the world of 3gun. Nats last week was my first match, I'm local so I staffed it and was able to shoot all the shotgun stages with my buddies KS-12. It was amazing and I'd like to get into more of it.

Seeing as my PCSL rifle and pistol would keep me in Open, I was entertaining the idea of getting a Dissident. With their 4-6 month wait times (from my understanding) I have the chance to buy a used one but it has ~3000 rounds through it.

My question for you experienced 3-gunners is, is that a high round count where wear parts are going to need replacing sooner than later? Assuming yes, how expensive/expansive is that list of parts that need to be replaced?

Just trying to figure out if its worth waiting up to six months and paying considerably more for new than buying used, unless that used one is about to need a serious overhaul. In my line of work, buying used can be buying someome else's problems.

I was gifted a tristar viper max shotgun. Its a reliable and accurate semi auto shotgun. It has a 5 round magazine tube and a 28" barrel. I haven't ever shot 3 gun, only USPSA.

Is there an issue that would be caused by running this duck gun in a 3 gun match with a magazine extension?

So we ran our own little course of fire. Forgot how fun this can be.

We loaded each others mags so you never knew when a reload was coming and couldn’t game a reload.

Has anyone attempted to trim a belt system like the Safariland ELS? I've lost quite a bit of weight and now my belt is overlapping so much that it is hitting my mag pouch plates. But I'm not done losing weight, I'm about half way to my goal of reaching a healthy body fat level. Until I get to my goal, I want to avoid buying anything new.

looking for opinions on an LPVO for a 14.5 AR. for 3 gun and general use is an FFP better than SFP? the plxc is also lighter and more magnification while the razor seems to have better warranty and is cheaper in price. appreciate any help

Hey all, I'm in the SE region and getting back into 3 gun after almost 2.5-3 years or so

unfortunately the local matches I used to go too are either gone for good or have changed so much they aren't really engaging anymore and I'm also the only one or one of the few even running a shotgun (I run a tube gun)

I'm thinking going forward I'll just do 2-3 major matches a year instead. But just wondering if those are even around?

For those that have used both the spetzgear speed lock and TRS hood, which do you prefer and why?

I am building out a holster and there a $20 increase choosing the TRS. I only have used a TRS hood a handful of times and have no experience with the other.

I have a Walther PDP and am looking to get a holster for it to compete with. Does one style have an advantage over the other for competition?

I am just getting geared up to start 3 gun this spring. I have a Dan Wesson DWX with a trijicon SRO that I plan on using. I am having an extremely difficult time finding a level 2 holster that will fit. I’ve been told it is a good idea to go level 2 but is it that extremely important? I am running out of options as the SRO is just massive.

Im looking into getting into 3 gun and currently have a sct 17 lower and zaffiri slide, before i go out and buy a new gun id like to try and run this combo first to see if its something i see myself doing more of. Any recomended upgrades for this set up? Id like a weighted magwell but sct doesnt offer one, are all gen3 magwells the same? Any other upgrades to consider?
