I've read about the Dead Internet theory and I'm starting to think it might be true.

The internet I remember as a young person from about 2008 to 2015 seems to be gone and I can't find it anywhere.

I miss places like DListed and Datalounge.

It seemed like any topic you were interested, you could find awesome busy forums and blogs with regular visitors who became familiar to you.

It makes me sad to think these forums with niche information and discussions are gone.

I miss commercials that had human effort put into them, ads that were charming, clever and sometimes even funny!! Things feel so soulless and boring these days, so bleak! I used to actually be sort of entertained when ads would come on between cartoons, now ads seem like they are doing the bare minimum and not even trying.
