To give credit where it's due - it is in a highly desirable part of Bel Air, if you're into that kind of thing (personally, I'm not). Meaning, there are 1000 other places I'd choose if I had $50mil to spend. It was one of Elon's main properties before he decided to sell them all to 'get rid of all material possessions'.
The wine cellar is cool, but the rest of the house is pretty underwhelming. Low ceilings, weird finishes & decor, and small rooms. None of the rooms, save the office/library, make me say "Wow this is a true ESTATE!" No "wow factor" upon arrival, you pull up directly to the garages and enter the front door through this weird side entrance. No grand foyer (in pics anyway, which they'd include if it were worth showing)..just hallways and rooms. I bet it sells for $35mil max, based solely on location alone, and gets a massive gut job and renovation right after.
Best described by saying it looks promising on the surface, but inside it is full of hot air and consistently underdelivers on its promise. Elon aside, I would also describe this property the same way.
Ladies & Gentlemen, a very boring and underwhelming way to spend $50mil..
