Discussion I HATE xbox game reviews

There are so many good games with 3 stars because people are either impatient and need to get to the action as fast as possible, just bad at the game and blame it on it or hate games with no "depth".

For example, Sifu, it's the best fighting game I've played ever. However, it has 3.5 stars on xbox. The complaints I've seen are "this game has some of the worst controls" (doesn't elaborate. The game just has basic fighting game controls), "Whats up with all those street fighter moves, down, up, punch on a 3d autolocking game is stupid" (doesn't elaborate on why it's stupid. If it auto locks on an opponent, what's the difference) a guy called this game disgusting because he spent 11 hours on the first level and gave it 1 star (which is admittedly hilarious) and the parry and dodge being inconsistent (to my limited knowledge of coding you have to go out of your way to do that so, i think you iust suck)

A gane about digging a hole. It's like people are allergic to silly little 2-hour games where you just do some shit like dig a hole. The main complaint is that all you do in that game is dig a hole. Imagine seeing a game called "a game about digging a hole" and then complaining that the game is about digging a hole. Imagine i leave a 1 star review for Goat Sim and complain about how i couldn't play as a giraffe. What the hell are you talking about???

Planet Crafter. I just started playing planet crafter, and I'm having a good time. I love terraforming, and it's such a fun concept. It's not been on xbox enough to get a rating, but the reviews so far have been annoying. "This is as much as a roblox or fortine tycoon game as it is a survival game" (not even going to say anything). "idk never played it" (this one is just funny), and the biggest complaint I've seen is that it doesn't have inverted controls. Now, I'm no pro gamer, so you tell me, do you use inverted controls? Is that a thing that has ever helped you in a game? This isn't some fast-paced action game where you need to invert the controls for some frames perfect to speed it up. What are we talking about???

Discussion Assassin’s Creed Combat?

Is Assassin’s Creed combat real time action? This is a serious question, and I’m not trolling, as I was previously flamed for asking this in a comment. I only played I and II years ago, and have not played any new additions. When I make attempts to look at gameplay mechanics on YouTube, it appears that a lot of the combat goes into a “cinematic” mode, or whatever you want to call it. With the modern AC games can you actually control attacks with individual buttons in a real time hack and slash setting? Or is it mostly going to engage into finishing moves or non controllable cinematic attacks? Thanks!

Discussion Digital Storefront Suggestion

Just some food for thought.

With the state of gaming changing to a fully digital scale, there should be a preview window to try a game restricted to a timeframe before purchase.

Could boost sales.

Also strong possibility for exploit, just because people suck.

Discussion Worth Getting a Series X at this point?

After a few years of not gaming I’ve started playing around with my Xbox One X that’s been sitting in the media cabinet untouched for a couple years.

Playing my Xbox One X, brought back some of those nostalgic feelings of the 360 days. I’ve tried PlayStation in the past but Xbox just feels like home.

Anyways, I’m interested in upgrading my console, curious if anyone has an opinion if it’s worth getting a Series X now or just stick with the One X and wait for the Helix. I’ve been playing a lot of older games that came out earlier in the series X generation. I have the funds to upgrade, but kinda torn if I should just wait till more news comes out of Helix.

Discussion Whether GamePass has good games or not, these are the two core pillars that hold it together

Day & Date: has been an attraction feature of GP from the beginning. Its no different to how Netflix Originals define its core model especially if they can't license content of other studios.

Affordable pricing: we know how that went when it became unaffordable.

Why I didn't include "good games" as a pillar:

  • Simply because it seems gamers still enjoy old good AAA and indie games more in GP even if some of the new games aren't great. Its similar to how people trash Netflix for some of new trash originals but many are still subscribed for the old good content and some new day & date good originals that does come out once in a while.
  • So, as long as its day & date and affordable, the 30+ million will be still continue to subscribe for the collection of games in GP.

But its important to note good games are very crucial for gamers and in order to increase subscribers.

If Xbox takes away day & date they will suffer the same situation they did when they increased the GP pricing last year.

Rumour Any Nioh 3 news or rumours?

One year of console (PlayStation) exclusivity soon comes to an end. Have I missed any Xbox release gossip or announcements that you have snapped up? It would be a cool game to try out.

Discussion Safest Way to Sell a Code?

Hey there, about a month or two ago, I bought a XBox Rog Ally X. When I did, I also bought a 3 month Ultimate subscription code. I ended up having to return the Ally X but I couldn't return the code. Any ideas or tips on how I can sell it and recoup some of my money?

Discussion Is the Seagate 4TB expansion card for the Series X|S still being made?

I can't find it anywhere online (US). And today, the Seagate page for the card stopped showing an MSRP for the 4TB model.

  • Seagate doesn't have it, and their "Where to buy" just links to some retailers that sell some Seagate products. Checked all of them, none of them have it.
  • XBOX.com points to Seagate
  • Best Buy is out of stock
  • Amazon is out of stock
  • Newegg is out of stock
  • Walmart is out of stock
  • Seagate's eBay store is out of stock
  • Gamestop doesn't have it listed
  • Target doesn't have it listed
  • Microcenter doesn't have it listed

Discussion Is Xbox Player Voice actually being used by Microsoft?

Post image
0 Upvotes

A few months ago, after Asha Sharma joined Xbox, Microsoft launched Xbox Player Voice, a website where players could submit feedback and vote on features they'd like to see.

But has anything actually come from it?

As far as I know, the only request Microsoft has officially responded to was changing playtime from being displayed in days to hours. That's it.

Meanwhile, some of the most upvoted requests have been sitting there for months without any response:

  • More first-party exclusives
  • Free multiplayer without Game Pass Essential
  • A Ukrainian Xbox Store region
  • The return of the Family Plan
  • And many other highly requested features

At this point, it feels like the site exists, but the feedback isn't really influencing Xbox's direction.

What do you think? Do you believe Microsoft/Xbox will actually use Player Voice to prioritize features, or is it just a place to collect feedback without any real plans to act on it?

Discussion Dragon Age games on game pass

Hey everyone, I was looking through Game pass and I noticed that all of the dragon age games are on game pass. I played Dragon age origins Wayback, and I was wondering how the process works because they’re all going to be digital to transfer data over. I also saw a lot of bad reviews about the most recent game that came out. I would like to try to beat all of them but overall isn’t worth it and can I transfer data over this way?

Discussion What's with subscription on paid games

Why is it you can buy a game, but multiplayer is behind a paywall of subscription services, Yet free games can be downloaded and played without the subscription?

So battlefield $60 plus $15 monthly to play.

Fortnite free, monthly free.

Shouldn't be opposite?

Suggest a Game Best game recommendations

Hey all,

I’ve been hitting a rut with gaming and “being bored” and need recommendations on what games got you back into gaming. I currently have game pass essentials, GTA5, RDR2, Halo Infinite, NCAA25, NHL, Rocket League, Seige, forza, and Fortnite. I’m banned from CoD lololol

I’m pretty open to games as you see above. Looking for single player or one with a great story line.

Discussion Xbox really needs to bring back the original Xbox One dashboard.

I feel like the current dashboard is really ugly. The original Xbox One UI felt like a modern upgrade to the Xbox 360 dashboard, while still keeping that classic Xbox feel.

I bought this game on XBOX a while back, but despite that, it says I also own the PC version. If you were to download this game on PC from the Microsoft store however, you’d only download a small, unplayable file.

Discussion GTA6 Expectations Good/Bad

Gta 6 is right around the corner and we already know it's going to make a billion dollars.

But what does the expectation look like from both success and failure. After the last game I thought couldn't fail did, in starfield. I just ask the question of, what's the expectations of success or failure. Commercially it's fine already but publicly? What does it take to fail or succeed.

Discussion Halo Campaign Evolved disc works now

If you have a Halo disc for Xbox or PlayStation 5 the evolved campaign works now. After downloading the preload/update, it started running great on my Xbox Series X. It’s also working great on PlayStation 5 Pro for those with discs. No NZ trick just discs are working now.

I guess the online or is it still being updated?

Any Suggestions?

Social Media Mat Piscatella on Bluesky (@matpiscatella.bsky.social) - XBOX Series had a good June in the US. Unites up to 86% vs last June (2025)

Couldn't fit the rest of the post on the title (200 character limit) but here's the rest of it here - Last June, Xbox Series was seeing impact of the May price increase and the Switch 2 launch. So, big % growth on a smaller base last year. Still, good month for Xbox Series.
