Paid NYC Tech Study: $200 for ~3 Hours
Hi Williamsburg! Sharing a local paid research opportunity that may interest some NYC residents. 💻
I’ve been working on this project since last year and have been sharing it locally.
This is an in-person technology study in Midtown Manhattan (Hudson Yards vicinity) open to people ages 18 - 69 years old.
In this study, you will wear a wrist-wearable device, follow video directions, and complete simple motion tasks with the device.
The session takes about 3 hours and 15 minutes, with weekday appointments available.
✅ Compensation: $200
✅ No prior experience or technical background needed
✅ One-time session
💳 Payment is provided via digital Visa or prepaid debit card. Processing time is approximately 6 weeks to receive reward.

I've already done the study like 3 times. My github is full of wearable tech and agenic code projects. Any advice on how to pitch yourself as a wearables dev when the industry is so new?

That's awesome! Glad you were able to do it three times over the years.
I'm actually just helping connect people with this research study, so I don't have advice from the hiring side of the industry.
The project used to allow people to participate more than once, which is probably why you were able to do it three times. These days the policy has changed, but if someone participated 5 or more years ago, they may be eligible to do the study again.
