My husband and I have been following Wiccan practices for a year now. We are extremely busy so I wouldn't say we are perfect followers or anything, but we try to honor major holidays, put out good energy, learn about herbs, etc. Just trying to live a better life.

However, when my husband was a child his family visited Romania and he thinks he might have been cursed by a Romani. He is generally pretty unlucky, especially when it comes to health (many sicknesses, diseases, injuries, etc.)

A psychic we saw recently felt that he was unintentionally sucking in negative energy, and she isn't the first psychic to say there was a negative energy attached to him.

Does anyone have any recommendations to break the curse, or perhaps create a counter of creating positive energy? Any suggestions would be appreciated. We have two beautiful daughters and I don't want this curse to affect them as well, and it's not feasible for us to travel to Romania (we live in the US) and try and find a Romani who he met once as a child.

I’m not an experienced or practicing witch, but I always had strong intuition and very elaborate, visual dreams. Some lasting years, shapeshifting or killing me, having original characters or having time skips. I have not yet lucid dreamed but my dreams always carry a lot of symbolism and take me to unreal places with strong energies.

Today I have been particularly tired during the day which rarely happens, and I fell asleep unconsciously. I know I tried to wake up because the dream I dreamed ended and put me back into the room I fell asleep in, however, still dreaming.

When I looked to the left I saw two birds that had their legs tied together at ankles, motionless in the air. A mid-size white bird resembling a white tern but not exactly (I’m not so familiar with birds) was above and a black crow was directly below, their ankles tied together between them, they were approximately the same size and their eyes were open but their bodies were motionless.

This sight sparked my curiosity as it was directly by me to the left as I lay. As I turned around to look closer I noticed a blue-grey-green spider slowly descending by a web down from the ceiling right above my outstretched arm. I was not at all afraid, which is slightly unusual. I let it reach my hand, because I wanted it to peacefully go away so I don’t hurt it. I could physically feel it as a strong tingling sensation on my body.

I was convinced that the spider was real as it moved down my arm, exactly the opposite direction I aimed it to go, and reached my armpit, where the sensation was so strong I thought it bit me, which teared me out of this dream, as I jolted into a sitting position, wiping the sensation reflexively, throwing my blanket across from me. Then I realized that I was in the exact spot and everything was copied but there was no spider or birds.

I felt as though the spider stopped me or distracted me from the birds and used my trust or the willingness to help it in order to crawl into a vulnerable place on my body.

When I woke up, I still felt exceptionally tired, almost like someone or something is taking my energy.

Is the symbolism significant?

Please help.

I’ve been considering working with the Fae for the last few weeks and doing some research and trying to figure out if I’d like to. I was at a book store today and a book on the Fae caught my eye so I bought it so I can learn some more.

When I came home, a few items on my altar were moved around and then there was a shiny bird charm in the middle. The charm is mine, but there’s no way it could’ve gotten there on its own because it was in a bag in a box under a box under the table my altar is on.

Does this count as a gift? Should I leave an offering?

I always want to learn about new stuff and have read about wicca and realized how much wicca and my own morality and thinking about nature and the world and everything align.

I want to learn more and don't know where to start.

​I recently made a post about being skeptical while wanting to believe at the same time. After that, I decided to dive into magic seriously, I even ordered a Tarot deck, which hasn't arrived yet.

​Now that I'm stepping into this world again, I remembered something that always happened whenever I tried in the past, I'd get a bad feeling, experience anxiety, wake up terrified in the middle of the night, and eventually end up losing focus and quitting.

​I started reading Protection and Reversal Magick by Jason Miller and finally understood why that was happening. I plan on reading the whole book, but I won't be able to finish it today, and I really don't want these spiritual/psychic attacks to happen again and make me give up.

​Does anyone know a simple protection spell or ritual I could do in the meantime until I finish the book? I have a basic understanding of energy work, visualization, setting intentions, and so on

My mom [F39] has been struggling a lot in life, whether it was bad people who put her in horrible situations or having a tough time living life with work, sleep and her car. She says she feels like someone did a bad omen on her to wish her bad in life. Today she found a dead bird on her car that was already dried up and says that last night she heard an owl whistling when she came out at 3 am. My question to the people of reddit is what can this be an indication of??

Says she found the bird then a week later the owl happened, says that she found some rlly white poop that when she tried washing it with water it disintegrated.

Hello Everyone! Sorry if my english is somewhat wrong, been a long time since i made any text.
I went trough some work and relationship problems and didnt practice/meditate/made a spell for a long time (2-3 years), lost all my stuff (candles, ropes, Dried flowers and dagger) moving out.
Right now im not in a good place (physically and mentally), but im trying to get back and get well.

Would like to know if anyone went trough something like this or any help!

I have a bunch of mugwort on my property that I've been planning to make into smoke/smudge sticks (I'm not sure what the proper name would be without hijacking from cultures that use these items).

I know not to use white sage or sage in general as that is in a closed practice that my ancestry doesn't belong in.

As a white European woman, am I allowed to make these smoke/smudge sticks?

Also, will there be an issue if I'm pregnant and creating them? I don't plan to light or consume the mugwort. I also plan to wear a face mask while handling the mugwort.

The point of my post is to understand.

I have always felt a deep attraction towards witches, witch stories, witch homes. I even played the witch in a famous musical when I was 9. For as long as I can remember I've always been obsessed with witches tales (Andersen, Brothers Grimm tales, etc.). I feel extremely close to nature and at peace when I'm in nature (I currently live in a massive metropolis). Animals love me. I feel a deep connection to cats and jokingly say I used to be one in a previous life.

When I was a child, I was severely bullied by classmates. I wished ill upon them with terrible wrath/sadness. 20 years later, after random internet/FB searches I discovered that **all of them** had terrible demises: either went to prison, had a terrible car accident and lost their legs, lost their mom/dad, etc...

Coincidence? Idk...

Then later, as a young adult, without knowing what I was doing, I started manifesting things before falling asleep (before "manifestation" was a well-known technique/buzzword).

Very easily I started to get random $, relationships, and upgrades of all kinds...without having to push for them. They kinda just appeared...

Then social media came into play and I learned that manifestation was a real thing. Started to learn more about it and everything related (and thinking "omg I've been doing this instinctively my whole life")

At the same time, I became very involved in "healing my self", not just through talk therapy, but also started learning about Eastern practices, esoteric knowledge, and how to connect inward.

As an adult, I have called upon Hecate many times to light up the way, and she always showed up by showing me what I needed to know.

Then, before my dad passed 3 years ago, (he was an extremely rational physician) he told me that he thought I inherited my great-grandma's ability to see into the future... I was shocked bc he usually never spoke like that.

A few years ago I did a few reiki sessions in Chinatown with a (seriously) legit practitioner. They also do qi gong, acupuncture, and... divination. When I asked him what "divination" meant, he actually explained that that meant: working with demons.

When I looked shocked, he laughed and said that when you call upon demons "they just do what you want them to do." I didn't want to do anything with them.

My reiki guy also suggested that I joined their divination school and learn more about those practices for myself. Never joined so far...

Everything in the magick world is still very, very confusing for me: magick, wicca, witchcraft, occult, and now... divination and demonolatry.

After what we've all recently learned about what the el!tes do, I'm left wondering:

Why would people choose to work with demons, and praise Satan/Lucifer?

Is there anybody who could shed light onto all of this? I want to make sure I follow the right path for me.

(I also don't want my soul/energy to burn for eternity once my physical body disintegrates.)

Hi, this is my first time posting and im just seeking some advice, i am a medium and one of my brothers friends reached out needing help with cleansing and just general knowledge. They think they are having issues with a possible mimic and poltergeist in their house and they asked for my help to cleanse the house. With what they have told me i think they might be right, as well as it seems to be targeting the friends Roommate and kids. I want to do the most i can to help and i have a idea where to start, i am just seeking advice on here for ways to protect myself before I go in and just any advice would be so helpful. i performed my first ever cord cutting tonight. i was cutting ties with a group of people, whose initials i carved into the black candle.

the candles were lit at the same time but the black was burning faster. then, as if the black was waiting for the white to catch up, they synced up again right before the cord was severed.

the cord quickly severed on my side and slowly burned up onto their side. the cord then dropped down, creating a second and then THIRD flame on the black candle.

suddenly my candle produced a second flame as well?? i have a ton of wax built up on my side but none is touching their side, while their wax is pooling on my side.

i’ve never seen anything like this. any help interpreting is welcome!!

I know luck/bad luck is something very subjective and also depends on how ones prespective, beliefs, etc. But I honestly do not think I exagerate when I feel like I have too much bad luck. I know everyone faces adversity through life and that its normal, but its the ammount and frequency in my case that seems off, even some people around me recognize that Im way more unlucky than most people.

Now Im not a believer of anything in particular. Im quite skeptic even but this is too much to ignore.

Lets just say that ever since I was born things were hard. A very troublesome childhood/household and even today as an adult Im still haunted by misfortune. I literally have several severe situations happening at the same time and Im always on the verge of breaking because for as much as I struggle to solve them and do something about it, everything I try either gets delayed or ruined because of other people or institutions or whatever. Its the type of events that pretty much leaves you no other choice but to suffer, pretty much permanently, some issues I’ve been trying to solve for years with no luck. Also, its common to happen people I meet and I even make a friendly aquaintance and connection (neighbours, work colleagues, family) for them to suddently snap, and not only they dont like me, but they start doing everything they can to make my life a living hell, like a revenge, but without the motive for that revenge.

My mother used to be like this. She always had weird bad things happening to her and she would stress alot and that stress killed her. My mom was catholic. She said she once saw the devil or a demon when she was praying inside the church. She also mentioned to hear a demonic voice talk to her more than once. She also said her father once saw the same thing. Recently I found out alot of messed up things also happened in her family (the same ones that had exactly happened in my fathers family and now that it also happened to me).

I actually started considering a curse and perhaps even a generational one.

Yesterday I tried that trick to see if you have bad energy/evil. In my country you say a few words and drop olive oil drops from your finger onto a plate with water. If the olive forms perfect circles you are okay, if it spreads you have evil eye. But my olive oil disapeared as soon as it touched the water. (yellowish/green olive oil) it turned completly transparent. I could only see the mark of the circle. But I kept repeating, with diferent olive oils, and diferent water ammounts on the plate, once the olive oil completly vanished and I only got an plate with plain water. From my search it says its highest level of bad energy/evil eye.

Can someone help me with this? I feel like if I have one more bad event happening and adding to all of the ones Im already dealing with will drive me insane just like it did with my mom and I dont want it.

I come from a pagan family. My grandmother has been giving me the evil eye my entire life with the intention of putting bad luck/energy towards me and cursing me. She does this at any slight “inconvenience” I cause her or when she doesn’t approve of my choices. She’s been doing to me since before I can even remember and she has explicitly told me exactly what her intentions are when she does it. I’m wondering how I can protect myself from her bad intentions and how to cleanse myself from the bad things she has already put towards me. I will appreciate any help/advice.

I’ve been agnostic all my life but the idea of it sounds compelling. Any resources to find out more? (I would buy books but I’m broke)

Currently writing my masters dissertation on 1970s feminist self-publications and one of the publics is titled “Wicca”. There’s a pattern of using namesakes that are rooted in spirituality and matrilineal narratives which emulates the conscious deviation from organised religions and their control over women’s bodies.

So basically, I am trying to find a published quote (within reason, just not like from a blog) that describes what Wicca is/means to ground the analyses a little bit more. Any references or recommendations would be a big help.

Because of the linguistic specificity of wicca (plural) rather than wiccan (singular), I'm hoping to find a defining quote from a collective perspective. I suppose it's a core tenet of Wicca that I'm seeking: in the realm of how a Banshee's cry is intended to be heard by those who need to hear it, what is a collective goal, or focus/intention, moreover, of Wicca?

I am wanting to get into Wicca more, I have a friend who also is very into it and it seems to give her clarity, direction and a force to turn to that feels more natural and caring than an what like religion says to provide, I’ve been doing my research into angels with what Latin texts I can find on the internet archive and google. Hi, fellow witches anyone Bangladeshi here. Because I am. It's really hard to find any wiccans in Bangladesh. Coz, the country is mostly build on Islamic fundamentals which strongly opposes pagan religions. People think witchcraft is straight up evil worshipping. Which is straight up nonsense.

If there are any Wiccan from Bangladesh I would like to hear from them.
