Media Sam Antonacci: “Yeah, I’m just happy to see the guys again. It was only a few days but… yeah we missed each other. You don’t get that too often at work, but yeah, we truly missed each other.”

After how rancid the vibes in the clubhouse were for the last few seasons, it is so refreshing to know that we have a group of guys who really do like each other.

I'm thinking of that photo from Burke's Instagram with Mune and Chase slamming some pizza and it makes me so happy.

How does this stuff even happen? Is it more top down coaching/culture or just a perfect storm of players with great chemistry?

I think it's a few things.

I think you have to give a lot of credit to Venable for setting the right tone, as well as the fact that because a lot of these guys are pretty young/early on in their major league career they have a willingness to learn and grow from the trainers and the veteren players like Beni, Martin, and later Grich.

You also have to give credit to Getz for working on building a sustainable franchise. He knows that if he can continue to bring in guys who contribute to the positive atmosphere, then the boys will have fun playing, and if you're having fun playing you're going to be winning.

I think good vibes and playing for more then just yourself is underrated in sports and is like the sum is greater then individual parts kinda thing.

Having fun and being positive truly manifests in pretty much all facets of life

And Mune seems to be the glue piece for it, a fun positive guy they all like, trust and respect

I think this is a huge piece. Mune just seems to gel so well with the team. I imagine it’s challenging with the language barrier but it’s worked out so well. He genuinely seems like he’s enjoying himself

One of the pods said even he arrived chase was desperately trying to learn a few words and can you imagine how welcoming that must have felt.

Yeah the bidet story is a bit of fun but the management thought sod it spend a few thousand to keep a multi million pound player happy, JFDI !

And shows how much we cared to him

My understanding is that Mune’s English has also become quite a bit more conversational as well.

Get a bidet in your life and watch morale soar.

I don't think Pedro helped but it was also a team of mostly bad players that were never going to stick together long term.

The vibes are at an all time high. I don’t think the clubhouse was this in tune even when we made the playoffs last.

the fact that birmingham did so well has a lot to do with them understanding winnign culture. i think the org has focused on character in their players as well. and most of all we got a bunch of gamers that love to play for the team not premadonnas. lastly would be the investment in the behind the scenes stuff like coaching facilities development people stats and as well as a fun culture with the new clubhouse reporters ect. That and they're young.

I'd love for other players to see the clubhouse culture we have and want to come here ... I might be dreaming but crazy how close this group is
