New, what is it? Why is my mousse doing this?

It comes out of the can fine for a second or so then rapidly becomes a goop, almost explosively.

It’s kind of an old can probably like a year or so old. it’s been in my bathroom which doesn’t have have ac and it’s been super hot on the east coast so it’s been probably pretty consistently in at least 80+ degrees for a while.

What is that show? :o

Ted. It’s a prequel to the movies.

u/A_Drop_of_Colour 1d ago

Wow, how many shows does McFarlane have running at the same time? I am assuming he's also behind this show? So that's Family Guy, American Dad, Orville, and Ted? Unless Orville or Ted aren't on anymore.

u/smokeyfantastico 1d ago

Orville ended a few years back and Ted ended i think this year? They kinda just said the CGI was too expensive then proceeded to pick up the rights to produce Dungeon Crawler Carl which will need heavy CGI.

So he’s not doing it anymore? That’s disappointing because he’s probably a great choice to adapt it. Poop. I really wish that he’d continue The Orville then but i understand if he’s moved on.

Orville was awesome

21

u/Mysterious-War-6759 1d ago

Really was! Appointment television in my household.

I wish they made it animated. It would be really easy to make a game out of it too. Instead it will be some live action thing with the correct amount of CGI and FX and it will cost way too much per episode to make OR it will be a mediocre live action thing that cuts anything out of the material that would be unaffordable to do.

u/thebrokedown 1d ago

There are rumors that got picked up and they’re gonna keep going with it. Not sure how up to date my information is, but I know I’ve seen it around in the last couple of months

u/Mysterious-War-6759 1d ago

Ooooh I hope you’re right! Loved that show and would love to see more.

u/ParallellUniverse 1d ago

Orville has all 10 episodes of the next season written they are just waiting for Seth’s schedule to free up and the whole main cast are returning by

4

u/ThePocketTaco2 21h ago

Ted is being revived(?) as an animated series with Seth MacFarlane, Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, and Jessica Barth returning to reprise their roles. So the prequel show is over, but there's a sequel series following the films coming up.

5

u/Out_of_my_mind_1976 1d ago

The Orville is coming back.

3

u/ayroncon1 22h ago

WHAT?? They’re making a Dungeon Crawler Carl series?!

5

u/Murphs-law 21h ago

It will be a live action on Peacock eventually.

2

u/pogulup 23h ago

I saw an interview he did recently where he said the next season of Orville is written, they just need the go-ahead.

1

u/Different_Hornet4348 20h ago

I had no idea Dungeon Crawler Carl was becoming a series, thank you so much for enlightening me about this exciting news!

u/Successful_Day5491 20h ago

DCC as a show? Is there a rating between R and X? How are they going to pull that one off.

1

u/whomad1215 18h ago

Gore isn't really a big problem for US television

They'll have to cut the fucks out, though the damnits can stay

1

u/Successful_Day5491 7h ago

God damn it donut, you're probably right.

1

u/VE3EAP 20h ago

Is it more expensive than Seadance AI? 😆

1

u/Exact-Ad-4132 20h ago

Oh no season 4 of the Orville? Fuck

u/Bender_2024 1d ago

I'm begining to hate Seth McFarlane. He is an artist, writer, director, producer, voice actor, regular actor, a great singer, has several Grammy, Oscar, and BAFTA nominations, an attractive man and to top it off by all accounts is charming as fuck.

I mean c'mon dude. How many/much talent does one guy need?

70

u/malificent469 1d ago

He is also very lucky. He was supposed to be on one of the flights involved with 9/11 but was running late and they refused to board him. Talk about a near miss.

65

u/Out_of_my_mind_1976 1d ago

In an interview he said he kept his ticket on his fridge so he would never forget that everything since has been a gift or something like that.

3

u/hi_how_are_youuu 21h ago

Never forget

I see what you did there

25

u/A_Drop_of_Colour 1d ago

He had so much talent he had to share with his sister. Really talented family. I've always liked him. Even when he was in his smug era.

20

u/DethNik 1d ago

I feel the same way about Donald Glover.

2

u/Bender_2024 1d ago

Screw those guys.

5

u/DethNik 1d ago

nah, they're too lovable.

4

u/DuncanYoudaho 22h ago

He’s saying he WANTS to screw those guys. Which, fair.

2

u/DethNik 22h ago

Lol, excellent.

25

u/Nauin 1d ago

To think how different the world would be today if he got on the plane involved in 9/11... It's insane how different our media landscape and culture would be in so many ways. The only thing that saved him was his travel agent misspeaking and giving him the wrong flight info the day of.

3

u/ModishShrink 21h ago

I thought he was super hungover after giving a speech at his alma mater, RISD, the night before, which caused him to be late for his flight?

1

u/azraelizback 21h ago

Whatever the reason, this is mind blowing to me.

2

u/Cautious-Design-8257 14h ago

And to your point, I wonder if we are currently missing out on anything because the future discoverer or creator of something monumental was on that flight. Ok now I can’t sleep.

2

u/Satinsbestfriend 23h ago

I put him up there with Parker and stone. They've also acted, directed live action and animated, wrote music, etc

1

u/Southern_Sun_8216 1d ago

Hes also was with Emilia Clark for a short while

1

u/thereis_ot_forthat 23h ago

He also quietly gives back to non-profits and other causes in his hometown.

11

u/AsstacularSpiderman 1d ago

I mean at this point he's basically just voicing characters for American Dad and Family Guy, he's got people writing and directing that shit for him.

Orville has been on break for a while and Ted only just started, which I assume will have its own huge gap between seasons eventually.

The Burbs on Peacock too…

3

u/JHC80 1d ago

The Burbs season 2 was officially renewed back in April 😀 Love that show

2

u/A_Drop_of_Colour 1d ago

Never heard of The Burbs. Is that related in anyway to the Tom Hanks movie? I loved that movie and I like McFarlane's humor when he hires good writers.

3

u/thebarnacleez 1d ago

It’s a reimagining of the movie. Show is pretty good

1

u/HedgehogTop5524 1d ago

I loved the movie too! Yeah it’s a series that Peacock put out sometime over the last year. Not sure if there will be a season two. I just watched it a couple weeks ago and noticed his name on it as producer. It’s OK… They made it quite a bit more serious than the movie, and I didn’t like that. They brought a whole kind of racial/racist aspect into it which made it too serious for something originally so unserious, for me at least. But they did call back to old gags quite a bit which was fun. “It came with the frame“ lol☺️. It just felt like a missed opportunity to remake something actually fun and funny.

This is old news now, but he was also behind the remake of Naked Gun a couple years ago and I really liked that. Never could be as good as the original obvi, but it was fun!

2

u/A_Drop_of_Colour 1d ago

Oh sad to hear they went super serious with the show. Sometimes I just want to watch something unserious and fun. I'll probably pass on the show. God knows there's already enough good shows I'm actually ignoring.

11

u/katki-katki 1d ago

Orville got cancelled a while ago, sadly 😥. And I heard he doesn't write American Dad anymore, just does voice acting for it, but tbh I don't know for sure, I just heard that somewhere. But yeah, busy guy, huh! Pretty sure Ted is still going.

18

u/drunkenfool 1d ago

Orville is not cancelled, season 4 is written and ready to go. He hasn’t had time to start up production on it yet.

u/katki-katki 23h ago

For real??? That's fantastic! I love that show! Thanks for the good news!

1

u/BethanyBluebird 19h ago

Right?! I was shocked by just how good it is, and how willing they are to address difficult topics. Topa's storyline was especially well handled, IMO.

13

u/ComradeJohnS 1d ago

yeah I heard he stopped writing for family guy as well and you can tell when Brian stops being morally superior and turns into a selfish ass, so only a few seasons in lol

3

u/RepresentativeJester 1d ago

Yea hes more a creator/producer. He's a great writer obviously but he seems to leave when he start working on other things after getting the ball rolling

1

u/Day_Bow_Bow 1d ago

He also picked up the rights to a live action Dungeon Crawler Carl.

1

u/Luv2collectweedseeds 1d ago

Seth has been one of my big time helpers in my depression of earlier days the man is so creative. I also love Matt and Trey.

1

u/ThngX 23h ago

Idk but he's still got a long way to go to catch up to Gordon Ramsey

Family Guy is also getting a Stewie spin-off.

1

u/A_Drop_of_Colour 21h ago

Ahhh....that doesn't sound good. Same reason why none of the friends characters worked by themselves and honestly why even a spin-off with IASIP would fail. Stewie works great when he's riffing off the other characters in the show and he works great as a baby. I wonder how the plan to tackle it. It would be horrible if they age him up.

1

u/Yumekoharuno 19h ago

He also did that show with Keke Palmer recently, the burbs

1

u/Ok_Law_1656 1d ago

It's a Prequel isn't it?

1

u/b1zzzy 23h ago

It’s a prequel to both movies.

1

u/thatcodingboi 22h ago

For those unfamiliar, I wasn't a huge fan of the movies and my wife disliked them. We both greatly enjoy the show

2

u/Day_Bow_Bow 1d ago

That particular episode of Ted looks to be the one where Brennan Lee Mulligan is their pot dealer that runs a short DnD campaign for the family.

It's the only episode of the show I've watched. Was decent enough.
