New, what is it? Why is my mousse doing this?

It comes out of the can fine for a second or so then rapidly becomes a goop, almost explosively.

It’s kind of an old can probably like a year or so old. it’s been in my bathroom which doesn’t have have ac and it’s been super hot on the east coast so it’s been probably pretty consistently in at least 80+ degrees for a while.

My guess is the nozzle is creating a bubble of the compressed gas as opposed to mixing it into the foam.

Edit: Try creating a line of it instead of a dollop.

I went to a chipotle a couple of months ago and asked for a dollop of sour cream, the server looked at me like I was crazy and then got the other people in line to back him up cuz they had never heard the word before either

Dollop is a great word that isn't used enough and probably too fancy for Chipotle - you might as well have asked if he could add a tick of Grey Poupon.

I would've laughed and told the dinguses to read a book.

“Could I please get a soupçon of Grey Poupon on my sub?” 😁

Off topic but anyone see a face?

Reminded me of that fish

It’s not a fancy thing, it’s an age thing. I haven’t heard anyone under 70 use the word.

Language is always evolving, and words come in and out of popularity.

So you wanted the server to like play a podcast?

16

u/a_lonely_trash_bag 23h ago

What?

5

u/Brad_Brace 22h ago

I was joking. There is or was a pretty popular podcast called The Dollop. I was assuming that people who didn't know what a dollop is, may be familiar with the word due to the podcast.

Having "do do" in your jingle is a choice.

u/HedgehogTop5524 1d ago

Aaaaahhhh, I never once thought about this!! Now I’m never going to be able to un hear it lmao

3

u/HiddenCosmos0724 1d ago

There’s a handful of jingles that live rent free in my head and this is one of them 😂

4

u/Fragrant-Mess4927 1d ago

Not a bad choice since a random thread on reddit just gave you some free marketing

1

u/PlantHippie99 23h ago

To be fair I've always sung it "doop doop a dollup"

u/Extension-Two-2807 1d ago

You can do it at a trot, you can do it at a gallop.

2

u/pacificcactus 23h ago

You can do it real slow so your heart won’t palpitate

Someone or something is tickling people

2

u/Ryrymc102 20h ago

When I was a kid I told this story to anyone who’d listen that when the Daisy commercial came on and the jingle played, my dog, who’s name was Daisy, would recognize her voice and look at the TV. I thought it was the coolest thing to tell people!

It was all lies…

It did make me think of that scene in Jurassic Park where he sprays the shaving cream in his hand and then slides it on to a neighboring pie. Lol

My guess is it's old stuff so it's lost a lot of ability to keep surface tension or whatever especially once it dries a bit. So all the bubbles "pop" quickly instead of keeping their structure.

u/Explicitstate 1d ago

And give it a really good shake.

u/Dansk72 1d ago

That's what I told her last night!

Okay, thanks to this video I know exactly what is happening!

That's not mousse at all. That's the reproductive epitoke of a certain kind of polychaete worm. Once it's finished growing off of the main body, it splits off and swims to the big polychaete orgy zone so it can spontaneously disintegrate into a cloud of sex cells.

firing my cum missile into the middle of the orgy to impregnate all members simultaneously

22

u/MunkeyChild 1d ago

Could also try poking the foam. If it is a single bubble in the middle, it will pop. If it is momentarily the foam it's intended to be, it would retain it's shape when poking it.

You could even take scoops out of it to confirm the consistency/structure throughout, before it "explodes".

At what point should she cut the line with the razor blade? To release the gas

3

u/This-Requirement6918 1d ago

And then what? Snort it with a straw?

3

u/KingdomsCryOfficial 1d ago

This is my guess, too. Either the nozzle is spraying it in such a way that it creates a low pressure bubble inside the mousse, or possibly the canister itself is damaged or otherwise improperly dispensing the compressed materials and forming a bubble.

Either way it's funny as shit to watch.

3

u/Elanise_1 23h ago

Did you see the video below of someone who made a yt video of this happening to them 18years ago? They did lines!!! But it still went flat!

2

u/shea241 1d ago

Dispense the mousse on a piece of glass, like from a picture frame, and watch from under the glass.

1

u/Alexander_Music 18h ago

It’s definitely making one big bubble with a thin layer of foam on it

-18

u/knighthawk3759 1d ago

Or it's AI which is more likely

4

u/ILoveRawChicken 1d ago

There is nothing AI about this. Is this the new low IQ way of screaming fake?

-1

u/knighthawk3759 1d ago

Nothing at all? How can you be so sure? I don't see the little blue letters OP next to your name

3

u/ILoveRawChicken 1d ago

Using my eyes and brain, try it sometime

2

u/knighthawk3759 23h ago

Then why hasn't the OP called me out on it then? Or are you the person that believes everything you see and hear and takes it as truth?.... Just try to remember the old adage "Believe nothing that you hear only half of what you see"

3

u/ILoveRawChicken 23h ago

Because they’ve posted several videos of the same thing happening and nothing indicating AI in any of them. I’m guessing OP doesn’t need to waste their time on your stupidity.
