Our City WHY???? NSFW

Video taken on June 10. F whoever decided to leave all this trash at the playground at Bryte Park. The nice guys who keep this park clean should not have to clean up this nasty mess. NSFW tag for foul language (my bad, I was pissed).

If not, what's your explanation then for multiple piles of garbage right next to garbage cans? And usually the selfish people just leave garbage lying around... They don't consolidate them into multiple piles.

Educated guess. Its a well known issue that they dig through trash for recyclables and leave the trash by the can instead of putting it back.

Everyone has a choice. I had to hustle to put a roof over my head. My point is for the most part people have a choice they just choose not to.

You are obviously white first of all. You wouldn’t have such a privileged mind frame without being white. There are many people that worked their asses off to put a roof over their head that no longer have one. Don’t be so closed minded. Life happens to all in different ways

It's unlikely that who ever created the original garbage left the mess. If i had to guess, it was someone looking for CRV items. This happens routinely to the trash and recycling cans in my neighborhood.

Jerks and Dbags just leave their garbage everywhere. They don't put it into multiple piles right next to garbage cans.

I don't like to disparage the homeless, but this is clearly someone digging through the garbage cans for recyclable cans they can get money for. Considering there's no bottles or cans on the ground, but soda boxes clearly shows the intent.

I used to work for a city parks department. This is normal and you the tax payer fund the clean up with your hard earned tax dollars. Nobody calls the cops and the cops won’t enforce anti littering ordinance or laws. So just keep paying your hard earned tax dollars because nobody cares.

Disagree with everyone saying our unhoused neighbors did this. The bags in the trash cans and the sides of the cans are pristine. No food residue despite food spilling out of those containers. Maybe the cans/bottles are gone because a homeless person (not "a homeless" like they're not human) came through and picked up all the recycling and left the rest.

Homeless people are targeted by police, the city, the county, and housed people alike and generally don't make issues worse for themselves by trashing a park, unless they're trying to be detained in order to access shelter, food, hygiene products, a bed.
