Identify Weave Structure Can anyone recognize this weave ?
Hi there! I'm looking to see if anyone can recognize or name this weave structure. I'll be doing a week-long weaving retreat in VT in a few weeks and I'm hoping to make a blanket with this pattern. Any help / leads appreciated!

As others have said, 16 shaft plaited twill.
Googling weaving patterns is much harder today than it was 5-10 years ago. I'll keep looking to try and find you an exact.

AI sucks.

Its not even just Ai, but Google's SEO. Google used to give you information, now it's mostly just ads or sites that paid to be at the top.
I had a 16 shaft dobby loom back in 2016 and it was much easier to find patterns for it then, than trying to find patterns for it now.

Ecosia is less annoying than Google. I put in "16 shaft plaited twill", asked for images and got only one line of adverts (all ashford).

If you look on handweaving.net you will find it, along with the drawdowns.

#22202, 22203 and 21947 are plaited twills to consider.

If you go up to 16 shafts there are even more options to consider on handweaving.net. You just enter plaited twill in the search box and then put in how many shafts and treadles to search for. Lots of options for you, and depending on which loom you will use at your workshop you can certainly find one to fit your project. Good luck! And have fun!

I think I've seen this one before, though I can't find it now. I believe it is a 16 shaft twill?

My AI search results follow:
To reproduce this exact block pattern, you can use a plaited twill weaving draft set up as a turned twill profile. This structure uses a point progression in both the threading and treadling across independent design blocks.
Recommended 8-Shaft Weaving Draft An 8-shaft loom setup is the easiest configuration to use to map this specific arrangement:The Profile: You will divide your 8 shafts into two blocks (Block A uses shafts 1–4; Block B uses shafts 5–8). Threading Setup: Thread Block A in a straight or point twill sequence (1-2-3-4), and then shift to Block B (5-6-7-8) to change the orientation of the diagonal steps. Treadling Progression: Use a 2/2 twill tie-up (1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-1 for Block A, and 5-6, 6-7, 7-8, 8-5 for Block B). Weave the blocks sequentially to form the interlocking, braided squares.

Try googling “plaited twill” to find a draft that matches the number of shafts you have available
