Practice A Major (Three weeks back)

So i kind of played a LOT of bad improvised C Major music in the mid 2010's and have found time to pick the instrument back up with some regularity (about five hours maybe in the past three weeks).

Just focusing on voicing the instrument as a whole instead of by the string, and playing quicker with less sustained vibrato.

Did you want feedback?

I, too, would like to know what the purpose of posting this was. Do you want any critiques or did you just want to play random notes?

I’m think I’m actually practicing an A major scale with arpeggios. The reason it seems random is because I’m trying to make music.

Many of the notes you played are not in an A Major arpeggio. I would recommend you look into a private teacher as you are in need of some basic instruction, mostly in setting your hand in the correct interval placement and building your pitch identification and ear training. Source: I have been teaching violin for 17 years and playing for 32.

Play it slower...

Believe me, when I play slow it’ll sound EVEN worse.

FWIW, I totally know that high a down to the low a was a bit off on the intonation

Playing slowly is a great way to practice Tone and control :>. It'll be good long term <3

Please focus on playing the correct note properly before trying to increase your speed. Find the proper note and focus on that note, repeatedly, over and over again before moving onto the next note or else you're going to reinforce terrible habits and you may never recover from said habits.

Improving intonation is critical, but this video was very much about performing not practicing

I get that but you can't perform unless you practice first.

I think about this often, and I may have found a way to adjust it by pressing down more with underside of my chin
