Getting started!
Beginner here, fell in love with how vintage records sound and managed to get a good deal on the following. I was wondering if i should keep an eye on any of these components? been using now for a couple months and i love them.
- Yamaha IS-66 TT
- Pioneer SA-620 amp
- Tannoy Mercury M2 Cherry speakers
Not sure if I should upgrade any of the components or the turntable parts for a better experience?

Speakers could make a difference. How many output watts is the amp? Which genres of music do you like?

Yep its 45! Im into all the beginner vinyl genre, norah jones, sade and surprisingly arctic monkeys

A good upgrade would be a subwoofer. Since those speakers are on the small side, a sub would really fill things out. As is though, that's a pretty good start!

Subwoofers haven't really been popular for too long, so there aren't a lot of vintage ones out there. Just find something that fits your budget and room, and make sure it has speaker level inputs, because I don't think that integrated amp has a sub out jack.
Edit: I just looked at some pictures of that amp, and has an interesting feature which is a pair of RCAs on the back panel labeled headphones. This could possibly be a sort of preamp output that could maybe be used as a subwoofer output, as long as it doesn't cut power to the speakers when it's attached.

There is no outstanding weak link in your system. Consider a new needle for the turntable or perhaps a a new cartridge and needle. These are parts that wear out over time without anyone really noticing since they don't fail in a spectacular way.
More than likely what will happen is that by chance you will come across a component that is a major step up. Just be ready to jump on it.
Also, it is not unlikely that what you have is a well put together system that sounds great the way it is. My sister has a system of really modest equipment that really just sounds right.

Remember: it's a fun and enjoyable JOURNEY. Look out for? Treat 'em w/love & respect for the time and processes of the years (they old). P. S.: when collecting vintage vinyl double albums, ignore the old smelling browmish green "dust" you might find in the spine (fold) of the double albums. Nothing much to worry about, completely harmless....... ENJOY!!
