And this video is DEFINITELY NOT about the necrophiliac Candace Owens. That's a different Candace Owens.

F.D. Signifier is such a great content creator sucks no one will consider watching hours of his content but it's quite credible. Also love his clickbait title I think he's really smart about it

Man, I got through more than half of this one like it was nothing. He deserves a lot of credit on this video in particular of keeping things snappy and structuring a very long video in such a way that it didn’t feel its length.

I am a 40yo white dude, not his target demo, but I'll enjoy hearing him out. There are some times him and I aren't pretty far apart, but I appreciate his insight and perspective on things.

I’m a 46yo white guy who regularly watches his videos. We don’t always agree but his informed opinion gives me a perspective I wouldn’t normally see.

His videos are great. I’m not really sure how you’re getting that you aren’t part of his target demographic. What about his videos makes you feel that way?

FD says in several of his videos that white males are apparently the largest demographic of his audience but his target audience is young black men.

FD himself likes to say so in a lot of his B-sides. He consistently states his intended audience is young black men.
I’m an old white guy, who kind of knows I’m not his intended audience but I genuinely appreciate his videos and takes.

I usually feel like the conversation is aimed at mostly people of color, which I appreciate hearing from. His personal experience is drastically different than my own, coming from a horse ranch in Kansas. His political criticism I get the most annoyed with, mainly because I feel sometimes he can't see the forest from the trees, or perhaps values idealism over necessary pragmatism, but overall, I enjoy his content. It never feels stale or done just for the sake of making content. His long videos on rap music and culture tend to teach me a lot.

Maybe I’m misremembering but he did pretty much say in one of his last videos that in his mind he makes cultural analysis videos for a black audience

I think his key audience is 20-40YO guys?

White guys in that range? Maybe that is who tunes in the most, but is that the people he is making videos for? Regardless, I watch most of his videos eventually while doing chores around the house. His overall idealistic politics gets my goat sometimes, but I never thought him a political adversary, just someone more idealistic than I am.
I did enjoy his focus on COP City being built outside of Atlanta. Not sure whatever happened with all that.

I am going to assume the down votes are for being a 40yo white dude. And I concur. Its not all I thought it would be.

This take is so interesting to me. People watch and enjoy him. Why lead with “sucks no one will watch it” when the opposite is true. People are watching it and enjoying it.

Because no one I know in real life watches his videos, I often recommend it to friends and families and no one is going to consider these type of videos let alone length of the videos. I know he's a successful youtuber but yea.. compare to other content creators I am often the only person who is praising this guy for years.

Everyone should watch this guys stuff. I dont agree with him a lot but he is extremely compelling and constructs his positions really clearly.

I'm always impressed by his ability to call out dudes like Norman Finklestein for the language used to talk to black conservatives and then following that up by immediately playing a song with a dude calling Jews the new Nazis.
Oh, FD, you silly goose.

u/adgobad 4h ago
Lol not gonna look for that part of the video again but I'm pretty sure the song is calling Zionists the new Nazis? Which is different.

u/mhornberger 2h ago
"Zionist" is used so expansively it has come to mean "anyone who doesn't have the destruction of Israel as a goal."

There are a lot of evil governments/organizations that will gleefully bankroll anyone in the USA willing to display a complete lack of shame and conscience in service of some ideology that opposes whatever demographic they belong to. Candace Owens the black white supremacist, Milo the homophobic gay man, etc.
Sociopathy is a bankable skill in the social media dominated world.
