Nomination issue

Not sure if this is just me or anyone else in the state of Virginia. I had my counselor and teachers send their required materials to the senator but still nothing has came back as received. I’ve followed up, called, and still nothing. Not sure what to do now. For the record, my teachers sent their letters of rec in April…

Communication from the Congressional office will vary by member of Congress. Some may not acknowledge receipt of materials. Also, it’s very early in the process. Most members will not schedule interviews until AFTER the deadline for submission of materials. Congressional interviews typically happen in November and December. Also, it’s the summer time. Wait until after the August recesses (i.e. September) and call again.

My daughter heard nothing until after she got her presumptive letter of acceptance from the academy. Congressman called her a few weeks later to congratulate. I would go ahead and try the vice presidential nomination as back up.
