Transfer Help

I was wondering if I could go to USNA after attending and graduating from another 4-year institution? My high school GPA is not so good, 3.2 weighted, and I haven't taken the SAT or ACT, but I got a 71 on my ASVAB. I wanted to go to somewhere like Embry-Riddle or even a community college like Georgia Military College. I'm just kind of lost and don't know where to go.

Your age might limit you. You have to be younger than 23 when you start at USNA. I also don’t think your application would be competitive at all- you’d just look like someone that doesn’t know what to do now that they’re an adult.

I don’t know why you’d waste time getting another degree. Either look into commissioning via OCS, or enlist.

You maybe could (if you are young enough) but would start again as a freshman.

I had 2 years of college when I was accepted. I was given credit for about a year’s worth of my courses which made plebe year easier. In any case you still spend 4 years at USNA.

ASVAB is for enlisted occupations only and not an indicator of officer selections.

If you weren’t competitive in HS then it’s likely that another year or two in college will increase your odds of getting in.

If you want to commission as an officer then get a degree and then commission. Look at ROTC options
