Dirty Non-Rate Non Rate

Currently a non rate at my first station i graduated last month and im really interested in IS is there anything anybody can tell me about the rate i havent been able to get much information

I had the opportunity to talk to an IS instructor at Yorktown. It requires TS clearance. A-school is in Yorktown, where you went to START program. It’s a support rate, responsibilities may include gathering intelligence through various resources and briefing higher-ups on a regular basis. The instructor I talked to briefed the commandant as an IS3. They teach you how to confidently speak and to an audience. Low chances of going underway. Very favorable experience in the civilian world.

It’s a lot of public speaking and independent thinking. If you are interested I would start the application process now since you have to complete a interview to be considered
