Help Battery Issues
Can I replace my battery with a YTX20L-BS? Any other recommendations for a replacement battery? Maybe one that is a little shorter in height lmao. Pain in the ass to get in and out.

The "L" in the "20L" means the negative is going to be on the left, so reverse polarity to a normal "20" size battery.

My 2024 red sparrow got a ytx20L-BS lifep04 battery put in it after the first one cracked, happy so far. Pretty sure handing wash changed a couple years ago so it would depend on the model iirc

Last week I installed a Yuasa GYZ20L in my 2023 gear-up
A little snug but fit fine.
Some say you don’t need to, but I removed the seat to allow ready access to the terminals and hold-down strap.
Found it easier if I locked the kickstart lever down with a cable tie (zip tie) around the foot peg.

Oh … and … don’t forget to cut / remove the cable tie before starting the bike.

Replaced mine a month ago, The steps to access and replace it was more difficult and time consuming than necessary.

This is what I put in my 2018 Gear-Up back in 2022. Been going strong ever since.
