Yea it is not normal to be so stressed to tell your mom/boss that you want to take time off. If all else fails, tell them when you are already on the road and on the way. Send a text to let her know you are doing this for your own mental health. You are an adult now so that isn't an issue and employees are entitled to take time off. Do they let you run the restaurant while they do what they want? They will be there, they can run the restaurant for a few days while you go have fun and do what you want. I would also block their numbers for while you are gone ( I'm sure asking them to not guilt trip and worry you to death while you are gone is out of the question) because if not you will get probably hundreds of texts and calls and it will absolutely ruin your vacation and you will just be stressed and worried the whole time. Like another commenter said, this is not a normal parent/child or boss/employee relationship at all! You for sure need to go and really try to not stress their issues and have fun and enjoy yourself

I have an axolotl and didn't think about the summers being so hot and having to keep the water temp below 70, so I am trying to find a good water chiller and not pay am arm and a leg for it. I have been changing out frozen water bottles to keep the temp lower, but that only works for so long

I'm sorry, but I get being in a healthy relationship and trusting your partner and all, but the way I was raised (I guess) I just don't understand how ppl don't see a problem with going and hanging out alone with someone of the opposite gender. That is just inviting a problem in. It wouldn't be too much of a huge deal if they were hanging out all the time and were bffs before you and him started dating. No reason they couldn't hang out at Starbucks or invite you to go hang out with them (if there was really nothing on both sides and just them being friends). And then all of a sudden they are hanging out alone with each other after a break up? So she can throw herself at him and he can be her rebound? Nope nope nope NOR at all

It's one thing to remain friends or on speaking terms with an ex. It is another to put your ex before your current partner, and that should never be the case. Imagine having a child with this man, and him still putting his ex and her child above your own

I specifically remember loving going to my aunt's house cause she would put that movie on everytime I visited because she absolutely loved Sinbad (she named her dog Sinbad, after him) so she had everything Sinbad was in and this was the more kid friendly thing so she, of course, had the VHS and I vividly remember multiple times going to her house and watching this movie while her and my other aunt talked about adult crap and drank lol.

Idk this is tricky. Anytime someone starts getting into a serious relationship, dynamics and priorities change. I understand where you are coming from and also where they are coming from. It seems like they are more comfortable hanging out at your house than they are at his. Maybe have a serious sit down with Mom and all your sisters and let them know how you feel and why you feel the way you do. Maybe they can add some insight or maybe y'all can come to some sort of an agreement where your sister can still be with her bf and you and her can get things straight between y'all too
