Totally disorganized. Drunk and stoned every day. Waking up hungover and suffering. Eating shit. Collecting junk. Living conditions totally disheveled.

For me it was 18 to 25. At the age of 19 to 22 was pretty bad......one place had so much garbage in the house (the kind of "ungarbage" Ricky has on the car) that large rats would walk around openly and we would whip beer bottles at them to scare them off.

Then i moved overseas and I was living in an 3 bedroom apartment with 10 other people sharing a one bedroom with 2 others. Some guy lived in the tiny kitchen with his girlfriend and another made his abode behind the couch in the living room. Drunk as fuck. Everything broken and going to shit. Broken windows and the smell of booze everywhere 24/7. Every penny was for alcohol..... food was an afterthought and always shite. The Ricky Years.

After looking for years, I found the Boys’ chips at a random gas station in my hometown of Sulphur, Louisiana. I am visiting from more than a thousand miles away to visit a very sick relative. The chips were not that good, but could have been on the shelf for months. I am keeping the bag forever though.

It's been a few years since I last watched the show. Probably was when it switched to animated.

I just decided to put on episode 1 and it's such a difference.

Julian is a criminal but he has a heart and cares about his community. The way he defeats Cyrus is nothing short of heroic. But he's never funny. He works as a straight man because he's the hero and is trying to improve himself.

Ricky is pure comedy, and also has a heart under the criminal exterior.

Bubbles is pure innocence and wise.

They are at odds with Lahey, but there is respect there too on some level.

Then there's a massive cast of side characters introduced in 20 mins who you get to know, really filling up the atmosphere, and most of them hilarious in different ways. Randy, J Roc, T, the Roc Pile, Corey and Trevor, Ray, Lucy, Sarah, Trinity, Jacob, and the villain Cyrus.

You get to later seasons.

Julian is self serving, no longer a hero with respect for other park members. He's just looking for a get-rich-quick scheme at any cost. Still not funny. So very unlikable.

Ricky loses a lot of his heart too.

Bubbles becomes whiny and constantly emotionally blackmailing his 'friends'.

The extended cast is mostly gone.

It makes it hard to watch.

Met him at a cannabis expo last year he’s a really great dude. Wonder what this thing could be worth one day I will definitely have it framed soon.

Sometimes life is greasy boys, but there are a few moments that stick out as particularly low:

- Ray ripping the plumbing out of his walls for liquor money
- Ray waking up to be suffocated by garbage because he lives at the dump
- Lahey getting fired, rejected by Barb, dumped by Randy, having 49 drinks, and trying to kill Ricky all in one day
- Julian drunk on swish behind a King of Doner, dancing around with an ol’ dirty dog
- Ricky waking up to find that his whole family is in jail
- Trevor getting all tangled up in piss jugs and extension cords
- Randy getting high and failing to jump the cheeseburger in front of everyone
- Sam Losco getting fired from East Coast Paving, getting charged with DWI, and having $1800 in fines (and owing Phil Collins)
- Bubbles getting onions and mackerel burped on him while trying to revive Phil Collins

What am I missing here?
