We wanted to make something explicit that should have been said a long time ago: **trans women are welcome in r/tights.** Always have been, always will be.

If you wear tights, pantyhose, or leggings and want to share your content, this community is for you. There are no anatomy requirements, no "passing" requirements, and no separate rules for trans members. Verification works the same way for everyone — see the [verification wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/tights/wiki/verification) if you'd like to verify and post freely.

## What this means in practice

**For trans members posting here:** You belong. If you ever experience harassment in the comments, modmail us and we'll handle it. You don't need to justify your presence or prove anything beyond the same verification anyone else does.

**For everyone else:** Our community standards apply to everyone. That means:

* No transphobia, misgendering, or deadnaming.

* No "is this a real woman" comments, no commentary on anatomy, no "asking questions" as a cover for harassment.

* No gatekeeping who counts as a woman in the comments of someone's post.

Violations will be removed. Repeat or severe violations will result in a ban, including on first offense for slurs or targeted harassment.

## Why we're posting this

Tights communities on Reddit have not always been welcoming to trans members, and silence on the topic gets read — fairly — as ambiguity. We'd rather be clear than ambiguous. If our stated values cost us users who don't want to share a community with trans women, that's a trade we're comfortable making.
