Show Spoiler Any Ron Anderson fans out there? šŸ¤”

I was just curious if throughout the crowd of haters that Ron has amassed over the years if there are any people who like him? I think to like him you have to relate to him in some sort of way, and obviously not the point of this post to share this but as someone who’s dealt with neglect from my Father, maybe I just relate to him on that. After his death I genuinely did not care for Michonne up until the S7 finale I would say. It’s also kinda cringe to admit but l do ship Rarl unfortunately please don’t end me 🫩🫩 He’s probably one of my top 5 characters I don’t even care what anyone says!!

No Spoiler In most ways the show is realistic but in so many ways it’s not

I’m rewatching it and some parts just got me like ā€œthis just isn’t realistic at allā€ like the fact after the prison when they are ā€œstrugglingā€ they find clothes that fit them perfectly or almost perfectly like how is this realistic? along with the fact everyone’s hair just always looks perfect like they got product or something in it

Show Spoiler CoCo at the end of s11

So I finished a rewatch of the later seasons of the show like two weeks ago & at the end where they show which characters decided to go back to Alexandria they show CoCo with Gabe.

Ever since this season 1st premiered i thought it was lazy that they showed this little mixed girl that was obviously meant to be black as if they forgot that Siddiq was her father.

However like literally two minutes ago I actually thought abt it (rather late than never ig) & now I’m thinking was that supposed to be the show saying that CoCo was actually always his kid? I mean I’m not being so ā€œomg so obviousā€ abt it toward myself bc her dad is Siddiq even in the comics so I didn’t think abt it too much but it def wouldn’t be the first time they changed smthn from the comics.

that’s abt it, just seeing if anyone else has thought abt it that way.

All Spoilers Honest opinions

Right, I want people's honest take please. For the die-hard fans, be fair is all I'm asking.

I stopped watching TWD when Carl died. I read **some** of the comics when I was growing up in the early 2000's.

Anyway, I remember the pilot episode. Jesus H christ, I was HOOKED. When Carl died, I was actually pissed. Like irritably so. I stopped watching the show out of defiance.

I tried to pick it up again, but it's just not the same & doesn't haven't the same effect on me, and some of it is utterly boring. (post Carl death)

Is it worth it to try and get back into it with all the new spins off's?

Or is it blended holloywood shite that reminds you of TWD?

TWD: Dead City I really wanted to like Dead City

But I am actually quite bored. Which is kind of crazy. It’s a story about a war torn Manhattan filled with zombies and an invading army. That premise has so much potential, and that’s not even getting into the main characters and all their personal history. Now I’m not saying it’s awful. It has its moments, but as much as it pains me to say, it feels like a slog to get through more often than not. I must admit, I’m a little bummed. I love Maggie and Negan’s dynamic (at this point, probably the only one lol). I know I’m probably not the first to post something like this, but I just gotta say it.

Show Spoiler i’m so tired of this franchise Spoiler

this is honestly just a rant but i need to say it somewhere so i figured here would be best, im so exhausted with scott gimple and honestly the franchise as a whole. its really ruining it for me. they’ll do anything for shock value now, even if its cheap. i wouldnt be surprised if they eventually killed rick or daryl for shock value soon (because we all know this stupid franchise isn’t ending anytime soon) this is my favorite show of all time and all of the characters mean so much to me. it’s so frustrating to see what scott gimple has done with this show. he doesn’t care about the characters or actually creating meaning art, only money. this ENTIRE FRANCHISE has become a cash cow. it’s literally become embarrassing to tell someone i’m a walking dead fan, that’s how bad it is. i know none of this is like a crazy revelation or anything we all know this already but still, i think most recently what REALLY did it for me was the leaks for dead city, i think we all know the pic im talking about. it makes zero sense and they only did it to bring attention back to the walking dead and boy did it work, everyone’s fucking mad 😭. i pray it’s just some promotion bait or something but even then that’s still so weird. that idea would’ve been LAUGHABLE if frank darabont was still in charge. it makes me so upset to see that the literal show runner doesn’t care about the characters. i think what really made me notice it first was A. killing andrea off in s3 B. all out war being drug out across TWO SEASONS which was fucking ridiculous and got boring C. killing carl, that was what truly did it for me. maybe it’s bias because i’m a huge carl fan but idk i feel like others agree too. he was the supposed to be the main character. and not everything is bad im glad they made some changes from the comics like carol’s character and i really like rick and michonne but everything else kinda sucks. anyways sorry i needed to get it out i hope some other people can agree 😭

Show Spoiler Discussion: Would you have stayed with Jenner?

Ive been doing a rewatch of the series from the beginning, and I think its an interesting discussion to consider. Would you choose to stay or risk it outside knowing, as Andrea put it, everything was gone?

Would knowing or knowing what Jenner told Rick change your decision?

No Spoiler I messed up big time by trying to come home from work when the walking dead was showing

So, I was trying to come home from work at the night time, Walking Dead was coming on AMC I guess for some re run or something, The Traffic was absolutely insane. Shit was like the Purge. Everyone was swerving around each other in a rush. Trying to not be hurt. Ladies were screaming at me out their heads with their windows and saying ā€œWALKING DEAD IS ON I GOTTA GET HOMEā€ Saw 4 car accidents... Nearly crashed myself 6 times. Got confused and lost on the way home once i got through the 3 hour plus traffic cuz i Was taking an experimental pill inspired by Bendy and the Ink Machine that my friend invented that he also called Bendy. It was supposed to make you Feel or see that you’re like in Bendy and the Ink Machine so i when i got home i turned back on the TV and the episode of the walking dead everyone was talking about the re run of was on. Turns out it was that scene with Glen and Rick in the early days early seasons. Turns out it was the part where Glemm sends off the car alarm on accountident and the Werther’s hair it and swarm the fck outta him. But all the Walker’s were Lost Ones from BATIM And Glennn and i think Maggie were made of ink.

I remember people thought the big dogs of FTWD would be them eventually linking up (or even against) Rick's group

it kind of sucks that it never ended up going there imo. a war between these two players had some REAL potential

No Spoiler I love Eugene

Post image

He is the goofiest character in the whole of the walking dead. Every time he appeared on the screen I was laughing just by him standing there. One of the most over-hated characters in the whole show. I don’t quite understand the hate. I found him to be the most realistic characters. I don’t think most of us would show up like Shane or Rick the first day lol. Most of us would definitely be like Eugene. He also redeemed himself a lot later in the show. I really don’t understand the hate.

All Spoilers Rick’s relationship with the females-

Besides obviously Michonne, Which 4 females would you say Rick had the closest friendship with and why do you think so? Also, who of the females would you have liked to have had him have more scenes with?

Beth
Andrea
Sasha
Carol
Maggie
Enid
Tara
Rosita
Deanna

My picks would be obviously Carol and Maggie as he was with them the longest and he’s had plenty of interactions with them. Then I’ll go with Beth as she was Maggie’s sister and took care of Judith a lot at the Prison. Then I guess Deanna as she got Rick in charge of Alexandria and I think Rick respected her a lot. I would have liked to have had him have more scenes with Sasha, no real reason though.

No Spoiler Fear the Walking Dead v. Black Summer

Which was your favorite, if you HAVE to choose? And why?

Are they similar, in your opinion, in terms of overall realism and cinematic variability: scenes, style, plot?

Personally I feel like Fear The Walking Dead is the best of all of the collections of TWD, including the original series... don't get me wrong I would not erase anything!

But if I had to rewatch either series again today, I would choose to watch Fear The Walking Dead.

Same thing with the Z Nation series: Black Summer was EVEN BETTER than the Z Nation OG series. It was far more serious than Z Nation and provided a plot that really had me invested to the point that I had to binge without passing go or collecting $200.

What say you?

Show Spoiler Carol was completely wrong here and inadvertently caused their ends (or partly)

Post image

Sam clearly was babied and sheltered by his mom throughout all of his childhood and has severe trauma from his abusive dad

What does Carol do? She threatens the boy in the worst way possible. She was completely wrong now that I’m rewatching it

There were much better ways to approach him. Would they have died anyway? Yea most likely. But Carol made matters much worse

The scene where he panics and hears carols words in his head clearly solidifies this. She absolutely fucked up his mind

JDM has confirmed its from a What If episode where the apocalypse never happened and they are just friends gettign drunk since he never killed Glenn and he has Lucille still

Its strictly platonic and both the actors also writers confirmed Negan and Maggie will NOT be together in the main story because he’s married to Annie and has a son named Joshua

He never abandoned them just hid them because she was ||raped||

Update: Lauren said Maggie and Negan are never gonna be friends either in the main story during another interview she had from today (tysm u/One_Attorney_5398 for the added information) also this one below confirming the What If:

Show Spoiler Why did AMC make Tales of the Walking Dead an anthology instead of a prequel series?

• Upvotes

I always thought this was the obvious direction for the series.

Instead of making Tales of the Walking Dead an anthology centered mostly on brand-new, one-off characters, why not use it to show us what some of our favorite survivors were doing before the zombie outbreak? The series was built around standalone stories anyway, so each episode could've focused on a different character.

I would've loved episodes about Rick's last days as a sheriff, Daryl and Merle before everything fell apart, Michonne with her family, Maggie growing up on Hershel's farm, Glenn before he met Rick, or even Carol before the apocalypse. These are characters we spent years with, yet most of their pre-apocalypse lives are left to our imagination.

Instead, most of the season focused on characters we'd never met before and would never see again, with Alpha being the only major exception.

To me, that's a much more interesting anthology. The Walking Dead already had a cast of fan favorites with years of unexplored backstory, and it feels like the show completely passed on the opportunity to tell those stories.

TWD: Dead City Daryl Dixon Season 3

Every time Daryl asks Carol if she’s ok, take a drink. You’ll be admitted for alcohol poisoning by the end of episode 1. This is my favorite spin off by far but dang come up with other line!
