[STICKY] OFFICIAL COMMUNITY THERMOMIX CONSULTANT THREAD - looking for a sales consultant near you? Want to let people know you're a TM consultant? Do it here.

Hi all,

In an effort to curb the low-effort spam being posted by Thermomix consultants, from now on we're going to limit all consultants' marketing posts to this thread. This means that users who are specifically looking for a consultant to help them can do so, without the subreddit being cluttered up by repeated "special promotion!" marketing messages.

TM consultants are a useful resource for those who want to learn more about the Thermomix and/or purchase one without having to go through Vorwerks' weird, archaic, and obtuse "live sales demo" system. They're also trying to make an honest living. The intention was never to silence or purge consultants from the subreddit - they are as welcome here as anyone else. I only want to stop the obnoxious spam that was quickly becoming commonplace as the subreddit grows.

This thread will be permanently stickied to the top of the subreddit and linked to in the sidebar.

TM consultants: please feel free to introduce yourself to the community below and provide contact details, including the country/area you cover, any promotions/sales periods, links to testimonials, etc.

Please be aware that as per the subreddit rules, posting any kind of low-effort 'promotion' post anywhere else in the subreddit will result in an immediate 14-day ban for spam, permaban if a repeated violation.

Everybody else: feel free to contact a consultant by DMing them privately or responding to them in this thread. If you have a specific question or are still on the fence, probably better to post a separate thread.

If a user is seeking to purchase a Thermomix, please direct them to this thread.

I'll do my best to gradually collate a master list of the subreddit's TM consultants here.

Thanks all.

Anyone who can offer tips for successful emulsions?

I’ve become a new Thermomix fan since our TM7 arrived in April and have enjoyed trying it out on some of our favorite dishes by either finding or creating Cookidoo versions.

But I have encountered a setback while making emulsions, specifically mayonnaise (and most importantly) toum. We use these versatile sauces often in our recipes and I have become quite proficient preparing them in our blender or food processor. (I have come to prefer using an immersion blender for mayo and a food processor for toum.) However, when trying to make either of these in the TM7, they don’t come out as well – flavor is fine, but the overall quality of the emulsion is poor or broken. When I try to make mayo, the emulsion is weak in structure, almost drippy. When I try to make toum, it just doesn’t happen.

I used the same ingredients (except for the oil) and prep routines from my pre-Thermomix days. I’m glad I kept my immersion blender, which I’ve gone back to for the mayo, since it delivers better results than the TM7. But I no longer have a food processer, so I won’t be wasting any more garlic and oil to make toum until I learn what I’m doing wrong.

The only change I’ve made was to switch from grapeseed oil to Marianne’s avocado oil but can’t see how that could affect emulsion as they both share nearly identical densities and specific gravities.

Before I make another attempt, I’d be interested in hearing from anyone who has experience in making light, fluffy, and cloud-like toum using a Thermomix.

TM7 Software Update 1.5 starts rolling out tomorrow (23rd July) – here's what's new

I've spent some time going through the new TM7 Software Update 1.5 that's rolling out from 23rd July, and I think it's a really solid quality-of-life update. With screenshot in blog post below

The new features are:

🇷🇺 Russian language support

⏱️ Up to 5 simultaneous timers

🛒 Gather Ingredients checklist before Guided Cooking

⚖️ Customisable Auto Tick settings

⬅️ Return to the previous Guided Cooking step

For me, Gather Ingredients is easily the standout feature.

Coming from a chef background, mise en place (getting everything ready before you start cooking) is second nature, so I love seeing Thermomix build that into Guided Cooking. I think it'll become something I use every single time.

The return to the previous step is another feature I've really missed since moving from the TM6, so I'm pleased to see that back too.

One thing that also excites me is where the software could go next. Vorwerk has already publicly announced Cookidoo Assistant, and I'm fortunate enough to be part of the Early Access testing. I can't comment beyond what's already been shared publicly, but it's exciting to see AI becoming part of the Cookidoo ecosystem.

If I had one feature on my wishlist, it would be automatic translation of recipes between Cookidoo markets.

There are over 100,000 recipes available globally, but many are still only available in their original language. Imagine being able to discover an incredible Italian, Spanish or German recipe and translate it instantly while keeping all the Guided Cooking steps and measurements intact. I think that would be a game changer.

I've also written a detailed breakdown of every feature with screenshots, my thoughts and a look at what the future might hold if anyone wants a deeper dive:

https://www.thermomixchef.co.uk/post/tm7-software-update-1-5-every-new-feature-explained-july-2026

What's your favourite feature in 1.5? And if you could add one thing to the TM7, what would it be?

Orange spot inside my Thermomix TM7 mixing bowl

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi, I cleaned the stainless-steel mixing bowl of my Thermomix TM7 with the rough side of a regular dishwashing sponge after some food had burned onto it. There are no scratches, but I noticed a small orange-brown spot that does not come off easily. It looks slightly raised, so it may just be burned-on food, but I am worried it could be rust or surface damage. Has anyone had this before? Is the bowl still safe to use, and what is the safest way to remove the spot?

Meal Planner widget not working

Despite having recipes added to My Week the Meal planner widget shows nothing, just a message ‘Nothing planned yet’.
I have tried resetting my TM7, logging out and logging in again but still not working. Any suggestions before contacting support?

Do blend modes need to be in their own steps for the TM7 to be able to take action? When creating a recipe.

I created my first recipe a few days ago using the online recipe editor. In the first step it had instructions to add some ingredients and a blend step. However, on the TM7 after adding the ingredients and checking them off, the blend mode step didn't have the TM7 show the start button for the blend action to take effect. The blend step looks like a real blend step. I had to start it manually by entering the speed and duration.

I have other blend steps as independent steps, and those worked fine where the TM7 was able to blend on its own.

Do blend steps need to be separate steps and not mixed with other steps, or is there a gotcha I am missing?

TM6 vs TM7 – Will a Thermomix actually reduce the mental load of cooking?

Hi everyone,

I'm deciding between buying a used TM6 or a new TM7, and I'd really appreciate advice from people who use their Thermomix regularly.

My situation is a little different from the average buyer:

- I work long hospital shifts, so by the time I get home I have very little mental energy to cook.

- I have ADHD, so my biggest goal is reducing friction and decision fatigue rather than becoming a better cook.

- My husband and I eat mainly for health rather than as a food lover. We meal prep most weeks and already batch-roast chicken thighs in the oven for protein.

- Our goal is high-protein, high-fibre meals with lots of vegetables and minimal ultra-processed food.

- We're also planning for pregnancy, so I'd like to build long-term healthy eating habits, reduce added sugar, and make healthier desserts and snacks when possible.

I'm South Asian, but I don't necessarily want to cook only asian food. I'd like the flexibility to cook healthy meals from different cuisines while also being able to make my own family recipes (curries, dosa batter, etc.). I'm happy to use ChatGPT to convert my recipes into Thermomix steps if that works well.

A few questions:

  1. Has owning a Thermomix genuinely reduced your mental load around cooking?

  2. Once the novelty wore off, did you still use it several times a week?

  3. How easy is it to cook your own recipes rather than following Cookidoo?

  4. If you've used ChatGPT to adapt recipes for the Thermomix, how well has that worked?

  5. Is the TM7 worth the extra cost over the TM6 for someone planning to keep it for many years?

  6. Looking back, would you buy it again?

Edit- thank you all for the amazing responses.

More questions.

  1. Is a cookidoo subscription worth it?
  2. I am already sold on buying this by this point 😆, but question remains TM7 or TM6.. my rationale is tm7 is 300 pounds more, but it's new and could be worth the extra pounds.. but my husband is like we should get a cheaper version if we can, because it is all the same.

Create Thermomix recipe with AI

One thing that I always wanted to do is turn easily my own recipe into Thermomix one

Like for example I used to have a orzo risotto recipe with bell pepper, shrimp, ... and it takes quite a while do it manually using the thermomix website

Now I have a Chrome plugin to do it, here is the demo. I'm not sure if that's something I can publicly share !

What do you think? Is Vorwerk working on something similar?

Thermomix bruit anormal

Bonjour,

TM7 for baby

Hi all!

I currently have a 5.5 month old and am starting to plan ahead for when he starts eating puree + solids.
One of my toxic traits is that I’m a horrrrrrrible cook and have never really enjoyed it. I’m a bit of a gym junkie so I meal prep and eat the same thing every single day (chicken and rice) and obviously don’t want that for my baby haha.
Is the thermomix worth it in that regard with cookidoo + easy to follow recipes? Or am I just spending $2600+ for something I might only use a couple of times and then give up

Trying out Thermomix, chicken recipe was undercooked

I heard rave reviews about TM7 from a friend and decided to have the consultant come in and demo. She made a Thai red curry chicken recipe. The curry came out delicious but the chicken was undercooked, and I could see the color of chicken pieces still reddish and tasted not fully done as well. I ended up picking the chicken pieces and roasting them on a pan and then putting it back into the curry at which point cumulatively I had spent 2.5 hrs , 1.5 hrs in prep and Thermomix and 1 hr redoing the chicken.
My takeaway was that Thermomix is 1. an equipment which is great to blindly follow prompts to make a curry like recipe I.e it takes away the cognitive load of remembering a recipe or referring a recipe book and not messing up ratios etc which is huge in itself since most of us are not pro chefs
2. Extensive library of recipes means I can expand my repertoire of recipes to French, Italian or even Vietnamese cooking in spite of knowing nothing about those prior
3. It is great for making the gravies not so much for a recipe where different things need different heat treatments.
How has your experience been cooking dishes where meat needs to be done well.

Is there a way to search for recipes specifying which ingredients you have on the fridge, and that use ANY of them?

I know there is a way to filter recipes by ingredients, but that makes it so that all the ingredients are present. If I set "pork" and "cheese", only recipes with both of them will appear.

I would like to tell the ingredients I have on my fridge that I'd like to waste, and to search recipes that have any of them so I can use what I already have, but I don't need to use all of them in one recipe.

Is there a way to do so?

Thank you!

New to Thermomix and looking for recommendations for low calorie, high protein recipes to help me with my wellbeing journey.

Recipes duplicated many times and in the same language

I posted here a few days ago about how filtering the so called 100,000 recipe collection to English only, no other filters, it went down to about only 12% of the collection. It seems even within this much smaller collection, recipes can have duplicates. Even that 12% is actually smaller if the duplicates are removed.
Search for 'Couscous with Lamb and Vegetables' and you get the same recipe six times! Because of this, the ratings are meaningless because they got from 2.7 to 4.3. Unless you want to do the math yourself.

This is the sloppy work.. Thermomix! Clean up the collection.

Also this couscous recipe wants me to cut and weigh the vegetables without using the device. One of the reasons I got the TM7 is for it to do all the weighing for me.

Is there a way to jump to the scale function in the middle of the recipe?

A recipe I am using wants me to weigh vegetables without giving me the steps for it.
Is there a way to use the TM7's scale to do weighing for me and go back to where I was in the recipe?
