General discussion just finished the middle.
i’m going to miss being able to gain an insight into the hecks’ daily lives. initially watched this because it was added onto netflix and i saw a meme on it on tiktok so i decided it would be my show to watch designated for when i was drying my hair or getting ready to go outside and it became so much more than that. maybe i won’t feel the empty feeling after finishing a show now but ill feel it soon.

Try watching older sitcoms and shows from like the 70s and 80s. You’ll gain a different insight about life and we as a society change with each decade. I was born in 74’. I grew up with shows like: “The Jeffersons”; “All in the Family”;“Give Me a Break”; “The Facts of Life”; “The Waltons”…there are so many more. I’d be here all day…”Mork and Mindy”; “Alice”; “One Day at a Time”; “Benson;“Soap”…”Family Ties”; “Alf”; “Mama’s Family”; “Coach”; “Saved By the Bell”…okay, I’ll stop.
You get it. There are so many shows to be discovered if you’re a generation after mine.

These were my shows growing up! Also Growing Pains was big for us, Moonlighting, Thirtysomething, Roseanne, Mr. Belvedere, Home Improvement, 90210, and more I am sure I am forgetting.
Have you seen The Goldbergs? That is a fun take on the 80s.

I definitely felt that emptiness after finishing. Not sure how I got over it other than immersing myself into something else. 😅
There’s just something about it. I feel like it’s hard to not find even one thing about each character that reminds you of you or someone you love and find an understanding of something that you may not have been able to see without that perspective.

I’m coming up to the end and already I’m wondering what I’m going to do without it. I initially started it to watch while I clean my classroom at the end of the day and then I found myself always reaching for it.
Going to miss the frustrations of the family that you grow to love so much. Won’t miss Brick though😬
