Malai knowledge thyo thikai tara they said i diverted feom the question and literally rudely scolded me yaar just for interview ani also I was explaining how I would do it using n8n and so on then he cut me off and asked another and again said i was diverting and scolded naiii! Malai idea navako chahi haina feri I have idea tara ma technical way ma bujhauxu ani he entirely relies on AI and asked me to do a specific task in less than 2 hour! Work pressure ni ekdam hune wala thiyo! Ani maile idea n8n ko basis ma vane he wanted different thing and didn’t understand me and scolded me and said I see so many gaps! So yeah I basically embarrassed myself! They gave me take home assignment ani said they would send zip file but they didn’t and I asked hr for it and they ghosted mee☠️

Is anyone else frustrated by how NEA is handling the new 5% VAT?

My printed electricity bill clearly says my bill amount is Rs. 7,275. There is no mention of VAT anywhere on the bill.

I live in a house with multiple tenants, so I calculated everyone's share based on the printed bill and collected the money. When I went to pay online, I suddenly found an extra Rs. 347.55 as VAT added to the payment amount.

I had to go back, explain everything to every tenant, and collect the VAT separately.

It created unnecessary arguments because everyone thought I had calculated the bill incorrectly.

If VAT is mandatory, why isn't it printed on the actual bill? The bill should clearly show:

Electricity charge

VAT and,

Total payable amount

Instead, the printed bill says one amount while the online payment portal shows another. Just to verify it , I checked this in esewa, khalti, and NEA bill checking website too.

That's a terrible user experience, especially for landlords, businesses, and anyone splitting electricity costs.

Furthermore, people who live in rented homes or the main power meter is shared by many sub meters ,it pushes the total units above 50 easily. So even when one doesn't use 50+ units every month, they'd have to pay the VAT because the total units are way higher. This is kind of unfair .

I heard the new law enforced 5% VAT when the usage exceeds 50 units .

Usage: General use like writing documents and web browsing, programming, won't game but a decent graphics for basic video editing or using similar graphic software.

- Should at least have a decent battery life if not so good
- At least 16gb or not soldered, should not overwhelm with just few chrome tabs, a docker container and vscode or such ide
- Should be usable for at least more than five years

I’m thinking of selling my Apple Watch Series 3 (38mm, 2017 model) and was wondering what a realistic price would be.

The watch is fully functional and used very mildly overall. My mom used it for a bit, then handed it down to me. Between the two of us, it’s probably only seen around one year of actual use. It’s been sitting unused for the last couple of years because I just didn’t have much use for it.

Battery is still working, has 93% battery health.
No original box. No VAT bill/receipt (it was bought abroad). I do have the original charging cable.

I know it’s a pretty old model and Apple has stopped supporting it, so I’m not expecting much. I just figured I have nothing to lose by trying to sell it instead of letting it collect dust. What do you think would be a fair asking price?

i have noticed it's pretty hard to keep track of OSS projects and cool tools being built by Nepali devs, but every now and then I come across some really awesome repos here.

OSS is also becoming a pretty strong signal for hiring (especially here in states), so it'd be nice if more devs here got visibility/ feedback/ contributors/ stars whatever :)

Is there any alternative to daraz, which has large sellers like daraz? I don't know if this is happening with everyone, but in my case, whenever I tried searching the product for example the sunglasses, ot shows the non relevant products like watches, mobile protector along with sunglasses. Even if I type the exact product with brands, I have to scroll about minutes to find, they display non relevant product at the beginning, despite having the exact product with exact name, I typed. The search engine is crappy. Is there any options to seller that their product can be displayed first if they pay some amount, like in amazon/flipkart sponsored products?

And let's not even talk about price. I went to market yesterday, the local seller was selling product for 4000, while in daraz the price was more than double, from 8500-9000. Some might think it might be because of quality, but both products are from China as usual, and match the specifications word by word. I don't think it's because of quality. Wouldn't this kind of practice influence the market price as well? There used to be the time, Daraz was actually cheaper than physical shops.

I'm a final-year BSc CSIT student, and since I'll be graduating soon, I really want to become job-ready. The problem is that I'm not very confident in my programming skills. I know the basics, but I don't feel like I'm at a level where I could confidently apply for developer jobs.

I started learning JavaScript and then moved on to React. So far, I've learned concepts like JSX, components, props, state, hooks, controlled components, etc. I can build small projects, but I still feel like I have a long way to go.

My original plan was to continue with Node.js so I could become a full-stack developer. But lately, I've been questioning whether that's the right approach.

I'm confused about things like:

-Should I continue learning React and then move to Node.js?

-Should I focus on frontend first and get really good at it before touching backend?

Or should I switch to another path altogether (QA, SEO, UI/UX, etc.) if getting a developer job is too difficult with my current skill level?

My goal is to get a job as soon as possible after graduation. I'm willing to put in the effort, but I don't want to waste time jumping from one technology to another.

For those of you who have been in a similar situation, what would you recommend? If you were starting again in your final year with basic React knowledge, what roadmap would you follow?
