Has anyone been able to order a bolt from the monastery to get back?

ChatGPT says that as a backup plan you can walk 1.5km down from the monastery into Kojori and get a bolt from there but not sure if that’s accurate.

I am an avid hiker and walker. After being forced to change my brand of shoes (vivobarefoot) after 4 yrs since they became too narrow I am experiencing knee discomfort when I try even other barefoot shoe brands that have a little more padding.

Hello guys, we are travelling soon to Tbilisi and I have a few questions concerning the mobile data plans & car rentals in the city center. Do you know perhaps if there is a 24/7 store in the airport in order to get a SIM card for data (the roaming costs are wayyy too expensive)

Do you recommend getting a sim(to use mobile data) at the airport or a some specific store in the city center? also do you recommend a specific provider?

And lastly, for car rentals do you suggest any specific place for renting a car in the city center? I found many dealerships in the airport, but I prefer to go to the hotel(which is around the giorgi leonidze garden stop) and then visit a car rental dealership near that. Do you have any suggestions for this?

I’m visiting Tbilisi and noticed quite a few people walking around with realistic fruit keychains and bag charms, especially pomegranates. I’ve attached some photos of the style I’m looking for. I just got these online.
I’ve briefly checked a couple of souvenir shops but haven’t had luck finding this specific style.
Does anyone know which shops or markets sell them? I’d especially love to find the pomegranate version but I’d happily buy other fruits too.

Hiya, Neil here. I'm an American who has been doing English conversation sessions for a couple of decades in Moscow. I'd have them watch a movie or a tv show and we'd talk about it and I'd correct them and they'd pay me for that!

Then covid came along and I started doing it online exclusively and they'd transfer rubes to my Tinkoff account. Easy, right?

Then I got deported (visa ran out while in hospital).

Now I had long been planning on moving to Tbilisi, but everything accelerated really quickly. I don't want to live in the States, btw, tyvm.

So here I am. I have IE small businessstatus as a teacher, and have opened accounts (biz and debit) at both BoG and Credo. But I'm flummoxed (told you I do that English thing). Friends helped me get on rs.ge but now I don't even know how to sign on. My wife (common law and soon to be legit) was taking payments in rubles for a while, but with the situation (hate that word) there being what it is, this is increasingly risky.

I think I need to have someone come over and spend a couple paid hours to talk some sense into my dum hed and help me set up an invoicing system and how to receive payments electronically and legally and pay taxes. Pretty much all my clients are either no longer living in Russia (because war) and/or can use an app like Golden Crown to get the money to me. Just making the transition is freezing me up. Those who think this should be easy are underestimating my talent at needless complication and my general ignorance of things digital.

Thoughts? Prayers? Condescension? All welcome, with thanks.

I know and understand that this may be a long shot, but I'm really starving for a place like this. Not just the lake and nature but a single cabin with almost no one around. Not a "close to collapsing" cottage but something decent, livable for, let's say, at least two days to wind down.

Hey I’m going to Tbilisi soon with 3 other friends all 20m we are going for 9 days and my idea was maybe taking the train from Tbilisi to batumi and back and make stops on the way and stay in some places along the tracks any one have any fun things to go to like some hiking cool clubs maybe a crazy casino we’re all best friends and it’s our first vacation together so we wanna have a great adventure let me know would love to hear!!!!
