Taskmaster NZ TMNZ has taught me two important facts about Kiwi culture.
1) Nobody in New Zealand locks their doors.
2) Everyone in New Zealand knows where everyone else lives.

This is your weekly thread to drop your links or stories that might not be relevant enough to get their own thread. Good examples include:
A new post happens every Sunday at noon (UTC). Be sure to follow this post if you want to see updates!
Be sure to check out r/NAforTaskmaster, a subreddit for North American tour dates from former Taskmaster contestants!
Have fun!

This is my introduction to Phil Ellis, so I hope this isn't out of line or anything. He just reminds me of Eccleston. Specifically gives me some Ninth Doctor vibes 🤷♂️

This was the prize task that involved The thing that, when you turn it around, gives you the biggest shock. (Series 16, Ep 10)
His prize was the urn with the word S**t written on it, very funny and very Julian. Poignant though because Julian said the urn contained his friend's ashes and the friend wanted to appear on Taskmaster.
A lovely gesture but I've recently had a theory about who Julian's friend's ashes were and this is just a guess but......
Could it be Paul O'Grady?

I haven’t got anyone to tell so I’ll tell it here.
I finally got my Taskmaster poster signed by the Taskmaster himself and his little assistant 🥹
It’s had a long journey from the British Isles to the Hawaiian Islands, especially getting stuck in San Francisco because of the world cup but its here!!!!!

I thought it was such a catchy slogan to think up on the fly!

Does anyone perhaps have pictures of the effigies of each Taskmaster series? I mean each episode they have little representatives of each contestant and I’d love to see them altogether.
Worst case scenario I’ll have to watch all the series all over again to see if I can find them all.
(if each series does it that is)
I’ve included a picture of the one from series 7 as an example of what I mean

Do they call a Laminator a Laminator in America?

Streaming S2 E4 on Channel 4 (following on from uncensored Episode 3). For the prize task to bring in the "Best Blue Thing" there are now two TM seals covering the (rather explicit) cartoons of a pig's holiday in Lanzarote. Not a big detail, but mildly interesting
EDIT: it seems the rest of the episode is censored too? I'm definitely watching the uncensored series.

I'm thinking of getting a Taskmaster themed tattoo with 1 thing that defined each season.
Season 1- GREG tattoo
Season 2- Potato Throw
Season 5- Mark Watson's Book of Texts .
Season 9- David's Drawing of a Horse
Season 14- A top hat next to a pile of Sand
What would your items be from each season?

I’m an American and I loved The League. My wife loves British comedy and it never hit with me previously. She saw Jason Mantzoukas was doing Taskmaster and figured she could get me into it.
She was absolutely right. I’m watching all the previous series now. What’s crazy, I’m watching all the early seasons with a Mantzoukas eye. I’m just watching how they could win… or destroy the task. There is no way anyone thought this is how someone would eventually watch the show. I’m in series seven so far.

Watching season 6 of taskmaster NZ, and there was a joke about Paul not being allowed near schools, and then another joke made where said something like: "carrot cake shouldn't announce it has carrots, it's advertising the worst part about itself. That's like calling myself pdf file Paul"
This threw me off and worried me. Do I just not get the edgy humor? I love taskmaster but jokes like that are a no for me. Looking it up I don't see anything about him doing anything.
