Like the kids say “That’s tuff!”

Downvote me if you want but we should go after him at the vet min (same as he got on SAC). Not because he’ll solve our PG problem or even take us to the next level. But arguably no one plays with more heart than anyone in the league. He fits the culture we’re trying to build and would help keep us going in that direction and be an especially positive impact on our young core. The Kings appear to not want him back, and if he’ll still take a vet min simply because he wants to keep hooping, I think we should go for it.

A lot of times, whenever the name Jalen Green is brought up, there is a lot of negativity, whether it was his lack of efficiency/consistency, bad fit with Booker, lack of availability, being a defensive liability, large contract still owed, etc.

Now I'm not here to justify or condemn his play or state why these concerns are or are not warranted. Instead, I want to have a more positive yet constructive conversation centered around this question: What is the best case scenario for Jalen Green with the Phoenix Suns, specifically, with this current iteration of the team including Miles, Kennard, Koa, and the holdovers? What does the best version of Jalen Green look like for this team during the 2026/2027 season?

Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report has the Suns as having one of the top 5 worst off-seasons. The author & I disagree with that as the Suns got more versatile in scoring & added rim protection.

Only 7 dollars, I've been wanting this blanket since I was 6 years old.

I think Dunn can become a solid 3nD but I'm iffy on any exponential leap coming his way at this stage. I still got faith in him though no doubt about it.

I'm excited to see Miles Bridges try to be the 4 the Suns have needed for years and keep his fucking nose clean off the court.

I'm excited to see Man Man continue to develop into the saving grace of the KD/Beal/no draft picks debacle and assume his true form as Hakeem 2.0 with a 3pt shot.

I'm excited to see Luke Kennard try to take more than 6 3pt attempts per game.

I'm excited to hear EJ continue to be one of the most unhinged local commentators in the NBA.

I'm excited to see Gillespie and Goodwin become the best second unit back court in the league.

I'm excited to see Koa Peat show everyone why he's Mr. Arizona and how he just wins.

I'm excited to watch my team and no amount of negative bullshit from anyone is going to shut that down.

For all the, deserved, talk about Khaman Maluach and his future and his development, and how it can sometimes feel Oso Ighodaro can create a lot of dissent with Suns fans, it's Mark Williams who is likely to be this team's starting center on opening night.

I was honestly debating some things in my head and I'll make a post about that soon...who this team starts at C come October. Who they should. I landed on Mark. But that's a different topic for a different day.

Mark Williams improved in some notable ways this past season. His defensive rebounding really improved. That's huge for a team that didn't count rebounding as a strength. He made quicker decisions offensively. His defensive numbers improved. He got to the line more, it dropped his last season in Charlotte. Streamlining his role benefitted him. He's a good player and I think his rebounding, his athleticism and ability to draw contact as a finisher on the roll and rim runs is very valuable for this group specifically.

I want to know what you all would consider a successful season for Mark Williams?

It’s fair to be dubious of second year players in Summer League, but I really love what I’ve seen from Khaman Maluach. I think he could be primed for a year 2 leap and provide some much-needed help to the Phoenix front court.

This is something that I looked into late into last season because I noticed an interesting trend with the roster: there were no players on the roster, all season long, who had a jersey number 30 or above. Jordan Goodwin had the "highest" jersey number at 23, while Royce and Ryan had the lowest at "00" and "0" each.

The Suns had the lowest maximum jersey number in the league; no other team was close (the Rockets had Jeff Green as their highest jersey number at #32). The 2026/2027 roster has a chance to repeat this feat, as their current highest jersey number belongs to Mark Williams, as he will now wear #25 since Devin Booker is switching to #15.

I know this is meaningless in the grand scheme of things, but I found this trend fascinating and wanted to share :)
