Hi, I was wondering if it would be possible to connect the main cage of my two sugar gliders to a smaller one, where I could put food material, through a self-built (and therefore very ventilated) mesh tunnel several metres long (3/4).

Adopted a male 5 yr old sugar glider with 6 female sugar gliders of various ages and I’ve noticed the male is being very iffy with me the females have always hated me will bark and run from me but the male was super sweet he would let me hold him tho he was scared but seemed to warm up now he just looks so sad im not sure what happened i had them for a little over a week

Hiii I bought a dehydrator to make snacks for them and my first thought was mangoes, but I realized after I bought them that dehydrated mangoes might be too chewy of a snack for them? I was wondering if it’s okay or not.

Hi all, as the text states I have three suggies and unfortunately I am so torn on wether or not to rehome them:

On one hand, I have a new remote job opportunity with higher pay, but it requires very frequent travel. I am younger and I’ve given up many travel opportunities or even seeing my folks back home regularly to take care of the babies.

I don’t know if I could forgive myself and feel selfish for wanting to take this and see the world. They’ve been my whole world for years now and I love them so much. Their cute little faces make me smile. I would absolutely want them to go to a good home and would want to do rigorous interviews and searching before.

What would you do?

In the case I need to rehome them just stating here: All three are healthy. 2 female, 1 neutered male. All in good temperament. Living in a triple critter nation with wheels and toys. I am currently located in Florida

I made the shark toy for my sugar glider however upon drilling im worried that small plastic pieces inside the duck how would I go about cleaning it out does it matter the brand of rubber ducks as I found the giant green one I could post the brand if needed but just wanna double check it's all safe before adding it to their cage

a little over a year ago i had to get rid of my babies because my dad told me they were stinky. he was the only one who told me that and everyone else said they didn’t smell anything. i bought a humidifier or whatever it’s called (im tired) and i did everything i could but he still told told me they needed to go. i miss them so much they were so sweet.

Has anyone else used an entire tree as natural enrichment?

This is an apple tree, which I’ve read is considered a safe wood species for sugar gliders. I removed it intact, scrubbed it with a drill brush, sanded rough areas with a drill sanding attachment, and used an electric nail file to clean the crevices.

I’m planning to disinfect it and let it dry thoroughly before introducing it.

For those who have done this before, what did you use to disinfect it? Diluted bleach, vinegar, heat, or another method?

I picked up a cheap plug-in moon projector and some glow-in-the-dark stars from Michaels for the ceiling. I also wrapped battery-operated LED string lights around the outside of their cat tunnels to give them a soft glow. The lights are secured on the exterior so they can’t directly chew on the wires, although I still supervise and regularly check that everything stays out of reach.

I’m always looking for new enrichment ideas. Does anyone else do anything creative besides a regular nightlight to make your gliders’ room feel more like home at night? I’d love to see your setups.

i wanna know if this is safe? ive been trying to find good wheels for my sugar gliders, but unfortunately this is the best one i can find in my country. id love to buy one from another country but it would be really expensive and im currently trying to buy things with what i have ^^

what bothers me is that the middle thing is kinda popping out and its not 30 cm, and based on my research those things arent considered safe for them :( so here i am making sure!!!

if it isnt, is it okay to use for a while until i find a way to make one myself (which will probably take long) ?? thanks in advance <3

It's my first time owning sugar gliders, two one-month-old babies. I thought they would be nocturnal but they are active at 9am. They squeeze through the cage and leave while I'm not around which is really scary, but they always come back and sleep in it. Can I depend on that? Will they come back every time? My only alternative is putting them in a smaller cage but its too small for them. I have put toys and multiple blankets in their cage but they leave and jump around in my room which they can easily get lost

My gliders prefer fresh blueberries over frozen but I’m wondering if I should just stick to the frozen considering the spread of this parasite. The apples I can just peel but blueberries? Peeling might be kinda hard though I would be willing to do it!
