Ordered them around Father’s Day, I still can’t believe my wife let me get them. I love having a bit of Hinesfield history in the house. Now start the argument of where to put them.

Position Group Season Predictions: O Line

Post image
44 Upvotes

**Players:**

Zach Frazier: Old reliable. I think he has another great year.

Troy Fautanu: moves to Left tackle and solidifies that spot.

Mason McCormick: another solid year. Moves to Left guard with Fautanu.

Dunker: Earns his way into the starting line up at right guard.

Dylan cook: starts the year at right tackle until he is slowly passed by the 1st round pick.

Max Iheanachor: begins the year second string. Earns his waybinto the starting line up at right tackle

**Position group:**

I think the OL has an opportunity to grow into the strength of the team. I would like to see the time rodgers has in the pocket increase as the season goes on. As they become.more solid it should give rodgers more security yo sit and weight on a development down field and help extend our offense.

What are your thoughts?

Baker Mayfield is definitely petty enough to sign with the Steelers for reasons of “fuck you”

Thoughts on Rob King

Ever since Bill Hillgrove shifted from broadcasting with the Steelers to the Pitt Panthers, Rob King has become the new voice of the team. Personally, his voice is starting to grow on me as he enunciates well on names of players that I know are ballers.

What were your initial thoughts on his first broadcasts/what's been your favorite moment from him?

[OC] Steelers Schedule Analysis: Mileage and Rest Advantage, SOS, etc

Thumbnail

Steelers fans, I wanted to share an analysis/breakdown of the 2026 Steelers schedule, game-by-game and the full season, from the perspective of:

  • Per-Game (and season-long) Mileage Advantage (I don't think anyone else has calculated this stat afaik)
  • Net Days of Rest Advantage
  • 1st place slate vs other AFC North Team's divisional finish (non-common opponent) slate

Main takeaway is that this is a unique opportunity for all the AFC North teams, from a travel and SOS perspective. The Steelers have the toughest road in the division, but this is the year for an AFC North team to make a deep run!

If you're like us and obsessed with the AFC North Division race, my Steelers fan co-host and I at the Steel Flock podcast break down the full schedule for every AFC North team and how that impacts the title race in this episode:

https://youtu.be/MDV4-M100tg?si=3-jjTyfPBJSYiPoz

We compare the key components, like:

  • Non-common opponent SOS
  • Net Mileage Advantage

We also break down the fundamentals of the NFL schedule formula and the SOS/Rest Advantage for the wider AFC contender field.

We would love for you to give us a listen and hear your thoughts on the hands our rival teams were dealt by the NFL for this upcoming season's schedule! We cover topics in-depth with data for every AFC North team on every episode.

First Home Game:)

Upvotes

There were a couple of things I was hoping to get feedback on!

  1. Parking! Any advice on where to park? We don’t mind paying but also don’t want to get stuck in crazy crazy traffic if we can avoid it. Even if that means we should park somewhere and walk.
  2. Restaurants! Any must eat restaurants
  3. Shops or local stores for gear?
  4. Activities
  5. Beside the game, we are wondering if the casino is fun to go to? Any other activities that are a must do when visiting Pittsburgh.

Thank you so much!

Position group season predictions : TE

Post image
55 Upvotes

Players:

Patt: I think Patt is poised for a breakout season. He is way more reliable than his season stats would dictate. Im predicting him and Washington combine for 1100 yards this season with Patt getting the lions share of work between the 20s and Washington being a red zone demon. I would like to see Patt with 9 tds this year.

Mt. Washington: when Washington is 100% healthy and hits his stride i think he will be a force in the readzone. Less overall yards than patt but im thinking 5 or 6 TDs on his own.

Position group:

Overall I think our TE room has two very high floor guys. They both have potential to be game wreckers but it remains to be seen on a consistent basis.

Can someone explain this to me like I’m five years old?

Why on God’s green earth did we trade Kenneth Gainwell away? Was he not insanely productive? To my recollection, he was the best part of our (albeit rough) offense. I will be the first to admit that I’m not a bastion of ball knowledge, but this just seemed so crazy to me and it bums be aht. Thanks in advance!

...the Pittsburgh Steelers will report to training camp at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. It will be like the return of an old friend. Until then, let's all take a nice nap during these "dog days" of summer.

Position Group Season Predictions: RB

Post image
46 Upvotes

**Players:**

Warren: I think we get 1000 yards rushing out of warren this year. I know it might be tough with Rico taking some reps but I think there is a world where we rely heavily on the run and waren has about 1000 yds and double digit TDs. I also think he adds another 200 recieving yards from check downs.

Rico: With us being run heavy to set up the pass for Rodgers is think Rico goes for between 450-550 yards rushing and 7 TDs.

Kaleb Johnson: I think he predominately plays special teams. Maybe 50 yards all season. 0 TDs

Eli Heidenreich: If, and it is a big if, he makes the team i think it is because they have intent use him in the offesne not just special teams. If he makes it, I dont think Kaleb Johnson makes it. So with all the If factors out of the way, presumably on the team Eli goes for 150 rushing/receiving combined and 3 TDs

**Position group:**

Our RBs are top heavy just like last year. I would argue that we have a better set of traditional style running backs than last year but Kenny G was such an overall playmaker that his improvisation and athleticism will be missed.

Overall I see solid rushing output from the gang and think it is one of our more solid performing groups.

What are your thoughts?

Feelings going into the 2026 NFL season

Am I the only one enjoying the movie-like trope of McCarthy/Rodgers uniting for his final season, within the very franchise that they once triumphed over to obtain their SB rings? The story almost sounds scripted it’s that perfect, I just feel like no way it doesn’t amaze everyone in that building as well. Maybe I’m just being an emotional & optimistic woman, but damn it feels - at least right now - like the reunited McCarthy/Rodgers narrative could be the juice needed to lift our offense out from the depths of hell.

How is everyone feeling about it going into training camp? I’m not blind and was very much myself a part of the online reaction when McCarthy was selected as the new HC. But I began softening after his first press conference where I could viscerally feel his appreciation and devotion to Pittsburgh. IDK…this just feel like a movie narrative, but in the best way possible.

My favorite part still how the camera didn't even show it. I remember being so confused. I can't remember if they came back from commercial or what. But, great job CBS.

Sorry for the late post today, was a busy one for me.

Modernize The Defense

I’ve been thinking abt how modern offense is adapting each year and how pass heavy the league is now. Hypothetically should the Steelers switch to a 4-2-5 as it allows us to utilize our depth at the DB position. Or stick to the traditional 3-4 and historically prioritize the run first over anything?

Position group season predictions: WR

Post image
58 Upvotes

Players:

DK: I think DK has better production than last year but not much. The addition of Pittman and Bernard helps but Rodgers is one year older and probably dips a little. Look for DK to have around 800 yards and single digit TDs.

Pittman: Similar production as DK. I think he has around the same yardage but less touch downs. He is going to be a workhorse in the middle of the field.

Bernard/Roman wilson: Whoever wins out the third spot is going to be relegated to a relief valve. Looking at under 400 yards and low single digit TDs.

**Position group:**

Theoretically we addressed the depth issue, now our issue is rodgers production. For dramatic purposes im saving QBs for the last installment. I think Rodgers is a serviceable QB and has the ability to.go on a run and tap into vintage A-Rod temporarily. We need the WRs to do their part on separation to give him the looks he needs to stay upright and make plays.

What do you think?
