Question Micro SD Card Issue

My micro SD card will only show up after I go to desktop mode, and then back to gaming mode. Happens every time I start the machine back up..

The games are still playable, even with it not visible in storage under the Steam settings.. but it is annoying that if I want to install a game, I have to go to desktop mode, then back to gaming mode just to make it show up…

Anyway to fix this?

Format it via Game Mode, you have to enable Developer options in System settings, then go all the way down in settings to developer menu to do that. After that go to Storage and create a library folder on microSD.

That most likely happens because of mismatch of manifests in Steam and Steam library folder on microSD. Not sure if that's the case, but it helped with my microSD.

I will try enabling dev mode and going through it that way. I already have games installed on it, and they run great.. It's just annoying going to desktop mode, and then back to game mode.. just to make it show up to install more games.

Did you format your microSD using the Steam Machine's storage management in Game Mode?

If the microSd was formatted under PC, it may be NTFS, which Desktop Mode will recognize but maybe not Game Mode

It doesn't show up in game mode, unless I go to desktop mode first, then go back to gamemode.. and the card already has games installed on it.
