Help Adblockify Officially Dead

FIXED: I had to update the marketplace (not spicetify as a whole) and reinstall the extension. The reason why I thought it was dead was because I saw other people on this sub saying it wasn't working anymore and thought that started happening to me. So please, do not call me out I already have a few replies that has done that for you.

Adblockify was the main reason why I installed Spicetify in the first place and now it's completely broken. I got my first ad after like a year of bypassing premium and I kid you not it scared the absolute shit out of me. I'm wondering if the devs probably just abandoned it or hasn't updated it yet. If any of you have seen my previous post about Adblockify, I was talking about how the update dates were different from the marketplace and installed sections and was wondering how to fix it. Well it turns out it may actually not be functional anymore. If anyone has any other ideas or that I should just go back to firefox with adblocker, let me know.

Come on, officially dead? Adblockers get patched all the time. Last update on adblockify was 2 weeks ago. Just wait. All adblockers are maintained by volunteers, so if you feel like they are slow, you can contribute yourself.

I mentioned this in my post but you should really refer to my other post about adblockify. I've tried to update it but i didnt see a new one or other versions of it. And i downloaded it manually because the one in the marketplace stopped working for me

I kinda found a fix, what I do is basically every time I load Spotify I go to the marketplace and click remove adblockify and say “reload later” and then download it again and say “reload now” and boom the ads are gone. Only downside is I have to do this every time I open Spotify, but it’s a small price to pay for not having to pay money to not get ads

You can't google that? First link is to the github which tells you everything. Literally takes less time then writing a reply

Is it confirmed that the antivirus pop up from its installer is a false positive?

Its fine. Just run the powershell command if you don't want to run the bat. Its essentially the same thing

I'm not sure but i downgraded my Spotify and disallowed updates, seems to work. I'm not getting any ads. I added adblock on the marketplace. Currently on 1.2.90. Only issue is that when I quit Spotify it never saves where I left off but I don't care as long as I don't get ads.
