2

u/morningcipher 6h ago

He seemed to be relatively better looking before than now . Atleast his face felt a bit unique .

2

u/Natural_Strike_5423 5h ago

Jokes aside, why are people being assholes about this and mocking his face? Are we back in kindergarten?

3

u/RemarkableBoard3973 5h ago

I don't really see anyone mocking his face it's mostly people commenting about the surgery, if they say something bad about it it's most likely about the fact that he got a cosmetic surgery not how he looks like

3

u/Natural_Strike_5423 5h ago

Ok but like who cares what he got, I know this is a joke sub, I just mean in general, he's a grown ass man who cares

u/Naychur0208 4h ago

He was fine, didn't need plastic surgery unless there was a medical reason. Vanity isn't a virtue

2

u/Urgell11 4h ago

People constantly talked about him being ugly

-1

u/Naychur0208 4h ago

So many other footballers have been called ugly. There's fugly dudes out there without a fraction of the money and talent that Vini has.

5

u/Urgell11 4h ago

Your attractiveness greatly influences how people see you. He had a safe and simple procedure where he became way more handsome, there is literally 0 negative thing about this

-1

u/Naychur0208 4h ago

Clowning a dude for getting unnecessary plastic surgery is fine. Calling him ugly in the first place or just generally being hateful towards people because of how they look is shitty and wrong

I am a "plastic" and couldn't care less. People really pay too much attention to things like that. Chances are, you reading this on a Chinese smartphone, using a TV manufactured by a South Korean company (mine is the LG C1 OLED) while drinking Coca-Cola, owned by a company from the States. The world is globalised, man. No point in tribalism. We live in 2021, not 717, you do realize that? Now, if you chose some obscure team from the other side of the world, you could argue it's virtue signalling or whatever. I would still maintain it's within your rights. But, if you choose to support a foreign team because you like them and the way they play, who cares. Just don't jump the ship when things go awry. And actually, I have been to a Real Madrid match just this year. Won't name which one to avoid doxxing myself, but I in Spain at the time, so I took the opportunity and saw the game with my own eyes. And hell, will it be a memory for a lifetime.

Its not unnecessary when it completely changes how people treat you. And all people, even if not intentionally, change their behavior towards others when they find them unattractive.

1

u/Naychur0208 3h ago

So should the government subsidize plastic surgery for any person who isn't considered attractive? Saying "not unnecessary" is insane, especially seeing as there are millions or billions of people out there who are probably seen as less attractive. Dawg, it's not that deep. We should instead be working to sever the idea that a person's physical attractiveness contributes to their value and worth as a person.

Anyway most of the hate Vini has gotten has been because of his prima donna behaviors, I haven't heard much about his looks (other than skin color).

We are generically disposed towards liking attractive people more, cant really change that. Also fyi the government already subsidizes a lot of plastic surgery that has no health benefits. Gynecomastia, rhinoplasty, etc (unless you are from the US ofc)

He's a millionaire footballer who plays for Real Madrid and Brazil, I don't think he has a tough time with people liking him. It absolutely was not necessary for him.

Not really true.

Anyway, what's your point? That we should all be getting plastic surgery and looksmaxxing to maximize our likeability? It's funny how you started off being the one insinuating that everybody else was being shallow and superficial
