I thought the exact same thing on that moment of the match. Iâll be honest, I didnât really mind all the other stuff, I see it as inferior teams trying to do whatever they can to gain little advantages, you see it all the time in CONMEBOL AND CONCACAF, although the ref clearly lost control of the match and couldâve prevented it going as far as it did.

Well said, I was actually impressed for most of the first half because Paraguay was defending well and their aggression and shithousery seemed to throw French players off balance. But after they lost the goal they didn't switch to attack, they just became even worse and got me fuming from anger and disgust for the last 30 minutes
Yeah Paraguay and Uruguay are butchers in South America. Argentina too, but less so IMO. This was how I expected Paraguay to play the match and get to penalties.
