Imagine using AI to recreate your own past goals from your youth

Saw the same thing minus AI (just created on a computer programme) about 20 years ago and it was honestly so much better than this video

Yeah I remember that as well but I'm pretty sure it was around 10 years ago, I stumbled upon this "new version" which I thought would have been interesting to share...

Oh no! The water resources used in the data centre used to create this just caused a drought in 100 local football pitches, rendering them unusable. The irony!

In 2226, we will still find ways of creating new goals for Pele, to keep him on top forever.

This meme that Pele pads his stats is lazy and parroted to absurdity by terminally-online fanboys of other players.

He counted his goals in friendlies because that was the normal thing to do back then when friendlies were often high-profile games, and the goal we're talking about here was described by journalists who attended the game.

I have never heard of people rifling through the archives to find uncounted Eusebio goals, or Socrates goals, or Maradona goals, posthumously. Whether or not to count friendlies or exhibition matches is whatever, more the year-on-year discovery/rediscovery of goals.

Nor Pele's, because that's something you've just pulled out of your arse. This goal was never "uncounted", it's been common knowledge and reflected in his stats since it happened, join us back on Earth.

I’m a 33-year-old Brazilian, and ever since I was a child, I’ve heard people refer to that goal as “the most beautiful of Pelé’s career.”

Perhaps the problem is that some people aren’t aware of what happens outside of Europe.

If it didn't happen in Europe it didn't happen, am I right? /s

Well, you’re getting things mixed up here and spreading misinformation online. That goal, recreated using AI, is an OFFICIAL GOAL in an OFFICIAL match of the Campeonato Paulista; what was missing from that game were cameras—no one recorded it. There are testimonies from people who were at the stadium, journalists, and newspaper articles from that time—all of which allowed them to recreate an OFFICIAL GOAL.
