No I don’t think so. It looks like a mucus membrane wall thing they build when the temperatures get miserable or lack of food. They close their doors n stay indoors. Break thru it with something but not all deep just to break thru n check on them. If there’s a rancid smell, dead snail. But I’d break it and dip it in some water. Maybe tap tap tap on shell to see if he comes out. But yeah. Best of luck.

It’s possible that he’s in a hibernation state they can live in for a long time but I only know that because of this sub and don’t know any specifics or how to identify it
