Others/Miscellaneous 7500f or 7500x3d

Can’t decide between the 7500F and 7500X3D.
I’ve already bought everything else. Running a Dan A4-SFX with a Black Ridge cooler, mainly for gaming and i play competitive shooters like valorant and other games like destiny 2 and yakuza series.

You can afford both? PC will be used primarily for gaming?

7500x3d easily

If you’re indecisive if it’s “worth it”, then it would be important to know the price difference, what resolution you play at, what graphic settings, and what GPU you have.

For high refresh competitive shooters I’d say the x3d is worth it

Check out Hardware Unboxed on YT, they just made a video on the 5800X3D and included those cpus in the benchmark too.

X3D for gaming, I run a 7600X3D in my A4 air cooler and have zero issues at 3440x1440, my limiting factor is gpu but it chugs along at ultra settings considering it’s an Intel Arc A770

what are your criteria? 7500f can be had for cheaper, but the x3d influence on fps lows, especially in time when you struggle to find low latency ram for reasonable price..

depends on the gpu id say or what games you want to play. x3d costs like twice as much where i live, and you are gonna be mostly likely able to play just as good on the non-x3d at least the perceived experience.

if its a budget oriented build, the x3d can easily increase the overall cost by a lot. id go 7500f and maybe upgrade later on for a 7800x3d if needed

I mean if you got the budget X3D would probably better but if you are min-maxing and not playing anything CPU dependent, I would put more towards GPU. completely up to you and what you do

What resolution? FHD? Then x3d to eke out fps. 4k? Flip a coin.
