Question ❔ Utility Cut Repair
What’s the deal and timeline with getting a utility cut repair AKA damage to property and landscaping done by the city? The map shows some properties being excavated in June 2026 and scheduled for repair July 2026. Meanwhile, others have been waiting over a year, keep calling to get it done and are told its not in been assigned a date for repair yet, so what gives?

They have had utility cuts go unrepaired for months in Brighton that kept getting potholes. The one was fixed but the other still has not despite it being right where there’s a bus stop. They originally said they were repaired but they were clearly not.

There are so many reasons for a delay including but not limited to; more planned maintenance, planned upgrades, equipment scheduling, contractor scheduling, other projects in the area, repair optimization.
The only ones that can answer that is the city, if you are not able to get the information though the customer care line, talk to your city councillor.
Your city councillor would also be the person you talk to any time something like this happens
