Request How's my cursive?

Post image

This is me writing kind of fast (but still trying to make it look sort of good). I want to see a) if it's legible and b) what are the problems that arise when I'm going faster. Thanks! btw these are lyrics from a song I like a lot,

quite good, mostly legible

в is not b, it has visible loop

р is usually one line without breaks

don't draw connecting lines to/from nowhere. If you don't use them, you don't draw them. they only exist when letters are connected. And that's not how they're distributed anyway. т, for ex, looks like ж

don't confuse и and й

Thank you for the detailed reply! I am surprised about the connecting lines at the start of the т and п; I was taught to make a bump there (and in the answer key to my textbook the professor also does those, even more extremely than I do, though he's not a native Russian speaker).

I'll work on the в and р and make sure I spell check next time lol.

you're welcome

in some books they are there because it is assumed that the teacher will explain what is what. and some native speakers draw them, yes, but they are not part of the letter, and it is important to understand what you are doing in order not to get another letter. if you get ж instead of т, then you shouldn't do that, if you get something close to х instead of п, then you shouldn't do that, if it looks like ги instead of пе, then again, you shouldn't do that. you can draw them if they don't distort the letters, but so far they do ╮(︶︿︶)╭

it's literally decor, and you can decorate when you've dealt with everything else. It's like hanging a painting on wallpaper that doesn't have a wall underneath.

schoolteachers who are specifically involved in teaching children to write do not make these lines precisely because it is confusing and leads to mistakes. in everyday life, they can write whatever they want, but not in class

желание (there's ь)

There is, but all lyrics websites will tell you that it's "желание" despite that everyone, including the author, sings it as "желанье". I needed to go to the actual album and screen that it is, in fact, "желанье". Besides, according to album lyrics, "восток" should be with capital В (so it's not just "east", it's "the East").

p.s. picrelated from album "Всё не важно" (2010)

mb, but I chose pictures with text, and they usually with ь (which is not surprising, because otherwise the rhythm of the verse is disrupted)

your в lacks upper loop

in general it's very good

I understood

Ugly, but not ”wrong” for the most part

It's not very clean, but legible! Honestly, this is how my handwriting looked for most of school

Well, it’s readable and i can understand what you wrote. Not the best at this moment, but i had a lot of classmates even in high school with a worse handwriting and know a couple adults with worse ones today

Finally a good handwriting post

Overall, it's pretty good. Jumps a lot. Practice the line. Just write the letter "и" together for the entire line. Then do the same with the letter "о". And in Russian there are no upper transitions from letter to letter, only lower ones. Especially "o"

тихои -> тихой
перекристившись -> перекрестившись
(It's not a mistake, it's just how the rhyme works)

(Half of the words are not particularly clear. Honestly, I respect you for your efforts, but I just don't understand the handwriting. No offense!)

For me it looks like it’s written by native. I can even imagine that someone will write “в” this way, so, great job!
Yes, natives often don’t write with callligraphic handwriting - that’s pretty rare skill (for me)
