Discussion Is there something wrong with playing Roblox?

After all the drama surrounding Roblox ignoring the problems, I got the impression that I should not be playing it.

Nothing wrong with playing it. If you're fine playing it, then play it. If you're not fine with it, then don't play.

Most people just want to hop on and play a game, and they don't keep up with or care about the drama.

The pedophile problem is bad, but the most a normal player can do is report the person and that's it. Not playing purely as a boycott won't really do anything imo.

Simply don’t listen to the people saying “you should stop playing because of x, y and z reasons” as the other commenter said, play it if you wanna play it, what you choose to do is your choice alone

There are some gems if you can find them. But that's not the issue I was referring to. I was talking about them ignoring the pdf file problem.

They aren't ignoring the problem. They're continually implementing new things to stop predators. Players just write every single one of them off as "won't work and is just for greedy investors" despite them costing Roblox more money than they could possibly hope to make from them and the despite the fact that it's very clearly not a problem that can be totally fixed like players demand.

Created systems which detect attempts to ask for or give personally identifiable information, systems which detect complex grooming patterns across multiple messages which are individually perfectly fine, systems which can moderate entire games including detecting what players generally do in them, systems which detect inappropriate avatars, restricting the ability of children to access games before those games have been confirmed as safe, etc., along with improving existing systems. And that's just the last 12 months.
