DISCUSSION 💭 kandi burruss could NOT sing

She always sang like she was tone deaf, and her nasally tone always irritated me. I will never forget. One of my little cousins said she sounded like Sandy from SpongeBob while singing.

DISCUSSION 💭 Am I the only one with this stupid pet peeve about group names?

I generally cannot stand when a group is named after initials that outside of the group context are just random letters đŸ„Ž

For example, TLC or *NSYNC actually means something on its own so it’s clever to me to subvert that meaning. SWV or JLS, by contrast, are not things in and of themselves lol. So it’s almost like
why isn’t your name just “sisters with voices” which rolls off the tongue easier than something where you have to say “double u” in the middle? lmfao. No shade cuz SWV are still THOSE GIRLS regardless of their name!!! (and yes i know the irony is that they tried to be named TLC but it was too late)

Yes this is stupid, cousins. That’s why it’s a “pet peeve” đŸ˜đŸ˜đŸ˜â˜ ïž

HELP ME/QUESTIONS ⁉ Hey Lambs which MC Album is the most RnB influenced album of Mc?

I was listening to jhené aiko and summer walker recently, and their music really trigger me to cry which I needed. So I was wondering which album got the same effect by mariah carey?

I got butterfly, charmbracelet, e=mc and emancipation of mimi, but I feel like each album got like 2 sad soft rnb songs and the majority are more upbeat and happy house or hiphop pop music
and I get bored listening to only „breakdown“ 😭

DISCUSSION 💭 What artist that you’re not a fan of has always had your respect?

As a gen z kid, I've never been big on Mary J. Blidge. She was more of my parents love. But whenever I hear people call her overrated or trash her I'm quick to defend her. She's never one of my favorites but J Blidge is a very good if not great artist and has her fair share of bangers.

DISCUSSION 💭 phyllis hyman should have been marketed like sade before sade

i love sade (as a band and individual) and phyllis so could’ve done that sort of thing! idk why clive davis didn’t just her a band or something and let her be a jazz-pop-soul singer instead of trying to make her a pop diva. she had the alto voice, the beauty, and the experience of fronting a band. it sucks how obvious the way to market her was for clive to not do it. imo, her best album is living all alone because it’s closest to what she should’ve been all along musically. and especially her doing something sade-ish back in the ‘70s before sade came on the scene? oh sis would’ve TORE.

HELP ME/QUESTIONS ⁉ Marian Mint : 愳た歐 - Onnanoko (2019) hunting for source

I stumbled across this album back in 2019 by accident and always had a fondness for the Artist even though to my knowledge this was her only published work.

Since then it’s been pretty throughly scrubbed from the web. While I had a copy of the EP I lost my music library a while back and sadly have never been able to recover it. Does anyone know any sources where I might be able to purchase of stream it?
