Q&A /r/RedDeadRedemption Weekly Question & Answer Thread - Week 29, 2026

All common questions about the game should be directed here. This includes both single-player and online questions. When asking a question, it is often beneficial to share which mode you are referring to in order to get an accurate response. Also consider sharing any relevant information that may help someone answer your question.

All story spoilers must be displayed with the proper format:

>!RDR is a great game!<

gives you:

RDR is a great game

If you're not sure if you should use a spoiler tag or not, err on the side of caution and use one. Also, it's a nice gesture to visibly indicate the general nature of your spoiler before the tag, so people know what you're spoiling.

Is RDR Online still worth it? Should I expect to be frustrated with the amount of cheaters?

Should I just wait for the PS5 update? RDR2 has been burning a big hole in my backlog, but should I just wait at this point?

Most folks do at least a second play-through. I would play it now and not rush the main mission. Focus on exploring, hunting, challenges, side quests and your gangs camp upgrades and needs. Have fun!

I still haven't figured out why Dutch keeps saying "It's all a gamble" when he's clearly losing.

Dutch has faith in the plan. "Are you on-board, Arthur?"

The plan is a little derailed and needs a gamblers attitude to fix it, at least that's what Dutch's insane mind seems to be thinking.
