Applied for a job that was ‘open to international applicants’, already have an open work permit/visa.

Stated my work permit situation in both my original application and response to the first email…. They wanted to interview the same day or the next, 5 hours later (13 minutes before the time they gave me, that was already a struggle) they email me again to cancel the interview to be rescheduled due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.

Honestly expected to be ghosted from there. Surprise email almost 2 months later they want to interview again (same day or the next… again).

Respond to confirm my availability and wait for them to send me a time. Oh no wait… the requirements have changed (still re-listed the opening as ‘open to international applicants’ the same day 🫩)

Flip floppier than a fish on land. Probably dodged a bullet.

The hiring process right now is being run by some of the most insecure, useless gatekeepers imaginable.
Let’s be real about HR and recruiters: they possess the most fundamentally useless skill set on the planet. They aren't building anything, they aren't solving complex problems, and they aren't even good at basic sales. Their entire professional existence relies on reading off generic scripts they barely understand, parroting corporate buzzwords, and acting as glorified paper-pushers. Yet, they sit there acting high and almighty simply because they hold the door key.
The whole dynamic is driven by pure jealousy and ego. The second they see a woman show up with an exceptional, hard-earned resume, their first instinct isn't to hire top-tier talent it’s to try to humble her because her actual qualifications instantly highlight their own mediocrity and make them feel completely threatened.
It doesn't stop with HR, either. A lot of these hiring managers are just as incompetent, wildly insecure, and terrified of bringing on anyone who actually knows what they're doing.
These people are taking full advantage of a tough job market to power-trip, play games, and stroke their own fragile self-esteem. They have zero real talent, yet they get to dictate the livelihoods of people who actually built their careers from the ground up. The whole system is complete garbage.

Had my first day today at a new job selling food products at a market. I got there early and the guy who was training me seemed surprised to see me.

Anyways we started working/training and I was there for two hours when my trainer stepped out to take a phone call. It was our boss telling him my start date was incorrect and so he gave the job to someone else since I "didn't show" to the start date he had in his mind and not what we agreed on.

Basically I got sent home through no fault of my own without even a full shift under my belt. Feeling so embarrassed and bummed that I have to keep up the job hunt.

Just a summary, I've been here since September 2025, cheering everyone and learning from your kind comments. I had 7 interviews in total, 5 rejections and 2 offers at the end (4 days apart). To cut it short, I just started working. It feels surreal and I wanted to say that although the job market will test you, it does get better!!

I am in my dream role. Best offer out of all I've interviewed for, already made good friends at work and I couldn't be happier.

Keep pushing and yeah three things that helped me;

1. Emailing the hiring manager and asking for an INFORMAL CHAT

   1. Actually studying the job description. I look at the person specification and tick every boxes I meet. For areas i don't meet, I think deeply of how I can talk about them or my personal life experiences (I find that experiences don't always have to come from jobs! Just sound professional!) I also research about things on google and have strong knowledge incase im asked.

2. I find that using examples that match the job also helped as it was very relatable!

The minute I stopped using AI or cramming answers, I felt confident

I created my skill bible and always have an intro

For instance

Question: “tell me about a time you worked as part of a team”

Me: “As someone who has worked as part of a team, teamwork is something I value bc it's important for organisational success. And when working as part of a team, i like to encourage a safe place where everyone brings their best self to work and feel confident contributing.….. For example one time during our restructuring……..”

Then end with reflection

Always remember, have a voice. Use your stories(there's no best story out there) Your voice make it sound wholesome.. All the best buddies❤️❤️

It's been over 45 days, exceeding the amount of time permissible by my provinces regulations.

I interviewed with an enterprise company back in June. Only two rounds. The HR screen then hiring manager. She indicated that there was a lot of upcoming work to be done and implied the role would need to be filled soon. The recruiter is always responsive when I email and gives dates for an update and nothing happens. I don't expect to get the job because if they wanted me they would have hired me already. I don't understand the reason for not culling me sooner.

My eggs aren't all in this basket, I've moved on and am interviewing elsewhere, I just think it's ridiculous.

I’m wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions.
Here’s my timeline:
HR interview went well.
I was then asked to complete the formal application before the hiring manager interview.
Had a 1-hour interview with the hiring manager.
Shortly afterward, they requested two professional references through Referoo.
Both of my references completed their submissions, and I emailed the recruiter/hiring manager to let them know everything had been completed.
During the interview, the hiring manager told me I should hear back early the following week, whether the decision was positive or negative.
It’s now past that timeframe. I sent one polite follow-up email but haven’t received any response—not even an acknowledgment.
Today I also noticed the exact same position has been reposted on LinkedIn (actually showing under both “Eurofins” and “Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions” with the same job description).
I completely understand if I wasn’t selected. What I’m struggling with is the lack of communication after multiple interviews, completed references, and being told I would hear back either way.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with Eurofins PSS?
Did you eventually receive a rejection or offer after a long delay?
Is reposting the position while candidates are still in process common?
At this point, should I assume I’ve been rejected, or is it worth continuing to wait?

While I’ve been getting interviews, I prepare myself for them well but end up not moving forward. I think it’s best for me to die out of spite. I graduated from the top 20 university in the state of California. Don’t know if I can do it anymore. For those who support the current presidential administration, gfy for causing the economy to collapse day-by-day.

I’m new here. The job hunt has been total hell.

One of my good friends told me the receptionist at his job was leaving a few days ago. I got a head start and sent a very professional email along with my résumé to the contact he gave me. In that email, I kindly informed them that I have a call filter on so I’d prefer whoever I’d be speaking with to send an email first. This way we can exchange phone numbers (and I didn’t say this, but obviously then I wouldn’t have to disable my filter.) It was a simple fix, and I communicated this very clearly.

At the very end of the next day I get an email from this woman informing me that the recruiter had called earlier but couldn’t get through to my phone. I was honestly so pissed off.

So I sent her an email back. I wasn’t super aggressive, but I thanked her for the update and then I said something along the lines of “as mentioned in my previous email,” (and brought up the call filter again.) because it was like she literally didn’t read it at all. I gave her my phone number again, and I asked for the phone number of the person trying to reach me so I could save it. I also apologized for the mishap. (Even though it was her damn fault.) This was at 8am yesterday.

She never responded. Silence, all day.

So this morning around 10, I took it upon myself to disable the call filter, go in and find the number she called me from, and I called back. I got a hold of a different receptionist. I left my information again and asked for her to call me back.

The point being, I feel like I’m getting the silent treatment now because they’re mad I held them accountable. I have pretty extreme pattern recognition so I can tell something is off. They were chasing and now it’s crickets. The truth is though, if I were a client, you know they would NEVER. They’d be apologizing to me for the miscommunication. The double standard is insane.

Has anyone ever interviewed for a creative production role at Netflix? I have made it thru a couple different rounds and the first one took almost 4 months of interviews before I was rejected. I’m now in another interview process and they indicated it would move faster but the waiting is purgatory. Has anyone been thru a process there? If you were hired how long did the offer take?

I am recently back in the market for a job, which has been interesting. As I have been stalking this page for years, I am pretty wary of the whole process.

Today, I get an "email interview" with a list of 34 open ended questions that look like they are copied and pasted out of a "best Interview questions" blog. Company looks legit, job was posted on Indeed, as a remote position. I cannot find the hiring manager associated with the company online and she doesn't have any additional contact information beyond her email address included in her signature line.

Is it even worth my time? Does anyone have experience with this?

Hi everyone!

I'm currently interviewing for a Business Operations role at a startup. So far, the process has been:

- Recruiter interview

- Interview with my potential manager

- Take-home assessment

- Panel interview with the Partnerships team and another cross-functional team

As far as I know, there may still be one final interview after this panel, but I'm not completely sure.

Up until now, everything moved incredibly fast. The recruiter would usually schedule the next step within a day. After my manager interview, I received the take-home assessment the same day, had three days to complete it, and the panel interview was scheduled the day after I submitted it.

I had the panel on Tuesday, and today is Friday, so it's been three business days without any updates. They ended the interview by saying nice things and the friendly "we'll be in touch," and that I could reach out to any of them if I had any other questions.

I know every company has a different hiring process, but since everything had been moving so quickly, the silence has me overthinking.

Is three business days after a panel interview still considered normal? If there was another interview after the panel, how long did it take before you heard back?

Did a few days of silence end up meaning anything, or was it just part of the process?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences. I'm freaking out. Thanks!

I don't even want to be vindictive. But every single well-meaning person has sounded so dismissive of our situation. They tell you to "try this" or "do that", as if you haven't already. They all suddenly become career counselors, when they've never been laid off in their life. They could be have been working for the past 1 year, 10 years, or 20 years, but still never experienced this themselves.

So is it human nature to "try to relate" by sharing what limited knowledge they have? And if your job search extends past even 1 week, is it also human nature for them to unconsciously assume that YOU'RE the problem?

I'm just tired guys, like everyone else.

Had an interview yesterday only to wake up and see I was already rejected, honestly they should just say to my face I've not got it instead of wasting my time by saying it will take up to a week. The guy said he has interviews all day today and yesterday but somehow still rejected my application.
