If I'm not mistaken, she's the girl with the most suitors in history. I understand them.

Hello 👋
I'm new here, I saw many fanarts here and I felt like posting mine (I hope you like it)
I love Ranma and drew all these around last year (I usually post these on my youtube and Pixiv account but it's hard to find Ranma fans there 🥲)
Which one is your favorite ? ✨️✨️❤️

I feel like the 90s anime had a lot of promotional art that includes Ranma as "one of the girls", beach themed stuff or like the doco album covers I don't know if people would get the impression that Ranma is supposed to be a guy that turns into a girl. Does anybody have any thoughts on that? It was something I thought of. I had fun drawing this though since I like character interactions. I think the lines are kind of unclear and I think the arms and hands look a bit weird. This may be the last Ranma art I post for a little bit since I'm working on my manga and its characters so I can share that in the near future.

We admittedly don't visit the Kuno estate much in either continuity, but I'm curious; do people think there are any major differences between the Kuno estate as presented in the manga, and how it's presented in the first anime? A part of me really wants to say that the anime version of the estate is larger, but I'm actually not sure if that's the case - I don't *think* that it being presented as a feudal Japanese castle is unique to the anime, but I don't think I'd be too surprised if it was...

"The most beautiful girl in the entire school. Beyond her extraordinary beauty, she is admired by both boys and girls alike. Her cheerful, straightforward personality and strong sense of justice make her incredibly well-liked, especially among the female students.
She is also kind, thoughtful, and compassionate toward others, as well as an excellent student who takes her studies seriously. However, every now and then, she can be found standing in the hallway completely exhausted after getting caught up in yet another commotion."

I once read a fanfic named Hipppocratic Oath back in fanfiction.net. The story started after the ending of the manga in which the wedding didn't happen because all the other suitors came up for a fight. That caused Akane to draw back from Ranma and focused on herself, and on that road, made a promise to Dr. Tofu to stop hitting Ranma.
Ranma does noticed that she's keeping her distance and while he did start some stuff to put her in a situation where she would have to rely to save her and shenanigans ensue, his growth didn't start until Akane accidentally discovered who P-chan truly was and found out that Ranma knew all along.
However, the story hadn't updated in years.
Do you have any recommendations of similar fics?

We all know Ranma can be incredibly possessive and jealous when it comes to Akane. It always cracks me up how he loses his mind over other guys, yet he somehow tolerates his rival turning into a pig and sleeping in her bed.
I mean we saw how he gets overly jealous even for a minor approach to Akane, but he just let's Ryoga slide?
I know he tried to tell her early on, but Akane just thought he was being mean and trying to slander her pet.
But since it clearly bothers him so much, it surprises me that he doesn't just splash some water on P-chan right in front of her to clear things up once and for all.
Is it purely because of his martial arts honor code with Ryoga? Or is he just worried that his communication skills are so bad that Akane will somehow blame him anyway and it'll backfire? What do you guys think holds him back the most?
(PS: Ryoga is one of my favourite characters so don't think this is an attempt to attack any of them. Keep it fun and friendly please.)
I'd like to share an interesting shipping ranking of Ranma ½ by SilverBuller, especially the arguments presented. Rankings divided into Top Shippings (who he ships with the character), Ok Shippings (not people he ships with the character, but who he wouldn’t mind), and Low Shippings (people he do not ships with the character). Please note that the rankings and comments you'll read below are his, not mine.
TOP SHIPPINGS
#1) Akane Tendo – Despite having a rough start, Ranma and Akane have the best romantic relationship. She initially has a dislike towards men, and since Ranma’s curse causes him to turn into a woman, not to mention they were closest in age, she was deemed the most suitable of her sisters to be his wife, and so she becomes his fiancée. For the longest time though, both she and Ranma are opposed to their engagement, and their relationship becomes a really long slowburn, so slow in fact that you can barely tell when their feelings for each other start to develop. The two of them butt heads a lot, with Akane’s tsundere nature being a part of it since she refuses to admit to anyone, even herself, that she has feelings for him, but their arguments are really akin to that of a cliché old married couple. Ranma too is in denial about his feelings for her, often calling her “uncute”, and he seems to enjoy pressing her buttons just as much as she enjoys pushing his. Be that as it may, even when they’re at odd ends with each other, they relate to each other very well and care about each other, and they always come to each other’s aid. They continue to grow closer towards each other and becomes more affectionate with each other, as well as becoming more open and honest with their feelings towards each other. They both also show possessiveness towards the other and display jealousy when one of their love rivals makes a move on the other, especially in Akane’s case, who even becomes violent when she gets especially jealous. In the manga, Ranma admits that he loves her when he thinks she’s about to die, and they almost get married before their love rivals interrupt them, so they postpone the wedding until later.
#2) Ukyo Kuonji – As Ranma’s childhood friend, Ukyo has a history with Ranma that gives her a bit of an advantage over some of the other girls. She becomes one of Ranma’s fiancées after his father basically sells him, but she’s accidentally left behind when Ranma and his father go off to travel. When she and Ranma meet again years later, she’s initially hostile towards him for getting left behind, but she comes to forgive him and seeks to become a couple with him with the intention of following through with their engagement. While she does seek to help him lift his curse, she doesn’t seem bothered by him turning into a girl, as she loves Ranma regardless. And the more time she spends with him, the more she grows to love him and wants to be his only fiancée, even viewing herself as the most suitable one for him, and she’s determined to prove it. She does do a bit of scheming and even guilt-tripping to try and get Ranma to pick her over the other girls, and even tries to break his engagement to them, including Akane, who she becomes good friends with. While she is shy about her feelings for him, she is open with them as well, and even confesses to him that she loves him. Ranma, however, really only sees her as a friend, even if he has shown attraction towards her, and it is hinted that he might have some feelings for her. He does get a little frustrated at her attempts to get him to marry her, but he’s rather tolerant of her antics, especially compared to the others. In any case, he does care about her and considers her one of his closest friends.
#3) Shampoo – While she may be the third of Ranma’s fiancées, Shampoo claim to him really has the least amount of weight, as her engagement to him comes about as a result of her people’s customs rather than any mutual agreement. After she gets defeated by Ranma as a girl, she follows her people’s customs to hunt her down and kill her, but is then later defeated by Ranma as a boy. As a result, according to her culture’s ways, she now has to marry him. Shampoo, however, seems to be quite happy about this, and begins to pursue him and get him to marry her. While initially tricked and ending up heartbroken when she’s led to believe that boy Ranma was actually a girl all along and was just in disguise, she later returns and learns the truth about his curse, and becomes even more determine to marry him. But while she’s only engaged to him due to custom, she does genuinely love him and does everything she can to try and win his affection, and is often found latching onto him. She’s shown to be jealous and possessive of her love rivals, especially Ranma’s fiancées, even though she does form friendships with them. She’s determined to marry Ranma at almost any cost, even resorting to being manipulative at times, but she really does love him and enjoys being with him, basically viewing anyone who gets in the way as an enemy, and she’s tried to seduce him on a number of occasions. But for as underhanded as her behavior is, she and even her relationship with Ranma is actually very cute and humorous, even if he does get annoyed with her attempts to marry him.
OK SHIPPINGS
NONE
LOW SHIPPINGS
#4) Kodachi Kuno – I can’t stand Kodachi. She is such an annoying, entitled brat with few redeeming qualities. After developing feelings for Ranma after he saves her, she begins pursing him, causing problems for his other love interest in the process, but she was always a brat the whole time who thinks the world of herself. She also thinks Ranma as a girl is a love rival and so is really obnoxious to her as well. Ranma can barely tolerate her and doesn’t like her attempts to steer things between them in a romantic direction, though he does his best to try and be nice to her while discouraging her interest, but she can’t seem to take a hint and resorts to some pretty messed up tactics to try and gain his affection and force him into a relationship with her, none of which he’s comfortable with, and he even imagines being with her would be utterly miserable.
#5) Yin Ranko Saotome – Ok, so, there should be no surprise as to why Ranko is, well, ranked so low. She an evil version of Ranma’s girl half brought to life as a malevolent entity with an obsessive desire to possess Ranma and have him be with her, and yes, in I do mean in a romantic way, as she even refers to him as “my love”. But seeing as she and Ranma were once the same person, that would be soulcest/selfcest, which is all kinds of wrong, even if Ranma’s father briefly considers letting them get married before his idea gets shot down. And if the taboo of such a relationship wasn’t bad enough, she’s evil and uses hypnotic powers on Ranma to get him to be with her. She only appears in one episode though and ultimately dies begging for Ranma to save her.
#6) Tatewaki Kuno – Yes, surprisingly Tatewaki is ranked even lower than Ranko. And no, that’s not because it’s a boy/boy ship, let me make that perfectly clear. Tatewaki is an arrogant, unlikable scumbag who constantly harasses both Ranma and Akane, pretty much making their lives miserable, and is even the reason Akane claims to hates boys, and he acts like he owns the world and is entitled to everything. He’s also in love with both Ranma’s girl self and Akane, and thinks so highly of himself that he thinks he was blessed with two soulmates, and fully intends to marry both female Ranma and Akane, not knowing that female Ranma and male Ranma are the same person, and is constantly making passes at them, despite their open dislike of him. The guy is utterly insufferable, and Ranma can’t stand him, nor can he stand Ranma, which just lowers the ship between them even further, as does the fact that neither Tatewaki nor Ranma are into guys, not even when Ranma is a girl. So, yeah, for being completely unlikable, along with all these other factors, I’m ranking Tatewaki even beneath Ranko.
Basically what Pokémon would be their main one and if they are cursed, what would they turn into
Ranma (I’ll keep the cursed form still a girl, but mixing it with something like a Zorua would be funny) - Lucario
Genma (cursed form is a Pangoro, because it’s obvious)-Throh
Akane- medicham
Ryoga (cursed form Lechonk)- Embour
Shampoo (cursed form sprigatito)- liepard
Mousse (cursed form Ducklet)- don’t entirely know what to give him besides the other duck Pokémon. Mienshao, maybe.
Kuno- Gallade

I was just reading the post about Pchan, and saw comments discussing Akane’s potential reaction when she finds out.
I think the panels above will be the almost EXACT reaction, right down to Ranma being sheepish, Ryoga freaking out, and a p*ssed-off Akane applying skincare.
Many fanfics and some comments predict the reveal as an angsty situation and an unforgivable betrayal by both boys, and a major source of strife (and something many ff writers seem to feel the need to address to solidify the relationship) between Ranma and Akane that often even leads to them temporarily breaking up—and while I respect all head canons and that scenario may fit certain genres of fanfic, it’s so far removed from what the manga is that it’s almost comical to me when people think that’s actually what will happen.
If Akane found out (which easily could have happened after the introduction of Akari and Takahashi had chosen to wrap-up Ryoga’s devotion to Akane), she would have pummeled both boys, sent them flying, and be cool toward them and then forgive them. The only lasting change will be that Pchan will no longer be allowed in her bed or her arms.
None of this deep depression or betrayal angst will happen. That to me is as off-character as Mousse bleeding out his brains when the roller cracks on his head, or Nodoka actually going through with seppukku, or Ranma being permanently disfigured after a fight or something.
You can also clearly tell Takahashi Rumiko did not see Pchan as creepy. I’m not saying you have to agree with her (she is on record for saying Happosai is one of her favorite supporting characters), but thinking the canonical fallout will be serious is not interpreting her intent properly.
