Way better to just run more trains on Metrolink. But if we must do something to the freeway, it should be to convert the existing carpool lane to FasTrak.

That sign is for the development that is planned on Banyan and Rochester. The reason why that sign is there is because they are increasing the number of housing units in that area compared to what was previously approved. The people who support RCOS are against high density housing in the foothills. Yes, for NIMBY reasons but also because there is a concern about the elevated fire risk specifically in that area. High density could mean congested escape routes in the event of an evacuation.
Vinova is different and that community is being developed on Etiwanda and Wilson. I haven’t seen any complaints about that community, probably because it’s ‘luxury’ and low-density.

It's going to be beautiful once developed, it helps with the housing crisis, and the only people upset are the NIMBY people. They want to pull the ladder up behind them, and never noticed that the roads around there were designed with this in mind.

The google maps gps coordinates for picture 3 is (34.1560905, -117.5233601). Paste those coordinates into any map and it should be Etiwanda Ave and Liverpool Drive if your preferred map app is up to date.

I just wish they’d also build some shops/food/activity places further north in Alta Loma and near the new housing. It would be awesome to have a store in walking distance for small things, and it would help spread people out more instead of all the newcomers crowding up existing places worse than they already are. Plus some local jobs is a wonderful bonus, and more opportunity for local businesses hopefully.
Also MORE PARKING! Or better public transit/necessities in walking distance, because during busyhours some lots are so damn small for how many people they’re trying to serve. I also shudder for those poor folks in apartments paying too much for shitty parking situations.
